Last year, I had a pretty crap year playing golf, shooting some terrible scores. In January when I came over to LoS, I picked up a magazine to read on the plane - Today's Golfer. It had a feature in it called "Back to Basics", which was okay and I had the usual, yeah, yeah, I know I should...

I'm about to have my annual visit to HH, I also go to Pattaya (although I stay in Jomtien) and when I get to HH in a few weeks time, it will be my tenth year running. HH is a cracking place, loads to do and see but not at 100 MPH as in BKK or Pattaya. Personally, a month will be perfect, as will two...

It looks a like a cracking day out, I'm over in HH in a few weeks for a golfing holiday. I used to fish 20 odd years ago - then the kids arrived and I gave up fishing, I'll think Ill pay you a visit. Incidentally, the other evening back here in the UK was a program called Extreme Fishing with the ac...

Thanks for that chaps, I think we will give it a miss (which is a great shame). We will definitely be playing Black Mountain, IMO one of the best courses in Thailand, plus Springfield, Palm Hills and probably the Banyan.

1500 for BM, that's cracking value.

Cant wait.

A question for the locals please. In a few weeks I will be on my annual pilgrimage to Hua Hin. I have been coming to play golf in HH for ten years and one of my favourite tracks is Majestic Creek. But one of the golf tour companies we have just got a quote from has said that MC is in a very poor con...

JW, we were all from Jomtien Golf, which is run from a bar called Siam Cats, which is located in Soi5 off Jomtien Beach Rd. The society plays on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. If you get a chance, pop along, ask for Glyn (the organiser) and he will get the Hua Hin trippers to say hello and excha...

It made a pleasant change from Pattaya, and yes the golf and the beer is a tad more expensive. But I've been doing trip now for many years and it is well worth it.

BTW, I was on Daz's afore mentioned trip.

Flew back to London from BKK on Friday, absolutely brilliant day for Pompey. I had a fantastic time at Wembley, cried at the end of the game, and watching the open top bus parade on the tv news, I've started blubbing again! "When Sol Went Up To Lift The FA Cup, I was there, I was there" ht...
