Re: furniture upholstery Cha Am

Hello
although not in Cha Am we used a company in Hua Hin called Thai Thai Curtains. They were recommended to us by a friend.
We had 6 dining chairs upholstered by them and have been very happy for a few years.
They have a facebook page as I believe their shop has moved from when we used then.

Re: Commercial Party Houses Operating in Residential Developments

Just a thought, try a complaint to the national Tourism Authority, if local authorities have no effect. They had a lot to do with the law requiring licensing, due to pressure from hotels.

Re: Hua Hin Party Houses

Hi all I may be wrong but to rent out nightly and not monthly now requires a license. I remember reading that the government was reviewing this type of rental due to complaints from hotels. I believe that the noise has to finish by 22.00 or the police have to take action. Where we live action can be...

Hi All
Wondering if anyone has used DDC for aluminium doors etc, and what their opinions were.
They are on Phetchkasem Road near Hua Him Hospital

Re: Songkran 2017

Hi All
Definitely quieter on the 13th, but the night of the 12th was very busy. Not seen so many people roaming around that early (20.00) with their water guns at the ready. Still all in good jest. I think there was a big party in Selankam(sic).
Good fun and no trouble.

Re: Hua Hin Chocolate Factory?

Hi we went in for a look and a coffee. Nice airy space and comfortable. Expensive but not as expensive as I had anticipated. Quite a few Thais having lunch. My wife was impressed by the chocolates and desserts. We will probably go and eat there after the weekend and if so I will judge the food then....

Re: Why did you settle in Hua Hin?

Hi We stopped in Hua Hin for a few days 11 years ago. After travelling the world together for 20+ years I had stopped asking my wife where she wanted to live. 3 days after arrival she said she could live in Hua Hin, a year later we had a house. She actually likes the large town/small city feel, alth...

Re: Shirtless and Topless Farangs

Personally I just pity people walking the streets shirtless.
My personal dislike is people who walk into a restaurant shirtless or especially in swimwear.
It just shows lack of respect for other customers and the staff.

Re: Dual-pricing in Thailand: Is it time to do away with the 'farang tax'?

Hi all

This is not exclusive to Thailand, I have experienced it in several countries, both at an official level and not, usually when there is a large disparity between the wealth of the average local and everyone else.
As said before we do have a choice.

Cheers.

Re: Need Dry Cleaners close to Palm Hills

Hello We used one, it was across from one of the Army camps on the north bound carridgeway of Petchkasem Road. Unfortunately I cannot remember which camp as there are 2. They are a distance from the airport and this was last year so I cannot confirm if it is still there but my wife wqs happy with th...

Re: Why do expats settle for horrible relationships with Thai girls who hate them?

To judge by some of the people I know, they fall for the flattering attention of a much younger girl (generally a mistake) and then put the land, car and motorbike in her name and are then liable to lose it all if they leave.

Re: 8 trawlers sunk to create artificial reef off Petchaburi

I would expect at 12 nm offshore that the water would be somewhat clearer than that we are use to in Hua Hin and its vicinity. I have been at about 7nm offshore and it was remarkably clear. I would prefer to know what depth they have been laid, as this determines growth and for my part divability. (...
