Re: Watching live Footy in Hua Hin

I know Mai Tai will probably show Man U Game. But was also interested to see Scottish Footy. Used to watch in Billy's bar in a bygone era.

Re: Tourist SIM lets government track every move

According to http://www.gsa.com, an increasing number of governments have recently introduced mandatory registration of prepaid SIM card users (interestingly rejected by USA and UK) primarily as a tool to counter terrorism and support law enforcement efforts. However, to date there is no evidence th...

Hi guys, in the ever changing bar scene in HH, is there anywhere to watch the ManU v ManC game today? And/or Rangers/Celtic game?

Many thanks

Re: Tour Company or Taxi?

Most golf tour companies will have some clout and might get you a better green fee rate or t-time. We have used them in the past, they are very reliable, got us some deals on green fees and driver always waiting to take you home. If you book your own taxi, some of the courses are quite far out of to...

Re: Administrative Help - English Speaking Hua Hin

Hi Lindsand,

There is a British lady lawyer works for one of the forum sponsors, Chavalit and Partners. She was recommended to us and has helped a lot of expats with property purchase, writing of wills etc. Not sure if she could help your father, but you could ask the question.

Good luck

Re: Money exchange

Some places do but the rate of exchange offered is daylight robbery.
My advice, bring US dollars from UAE. Large 100 USD notes get a better rate than smaller denominations.

Re: Too much insulting

Pacman, so sorry to hear you met such a disgusting, disrespectful individual. His behaviour is offensive to both Thais and Farangs You might consider trying to sell your perfume on the beach, maybe not right now during low season. But in the busier months, when us girls are on holiday, we like to sp...

Re: Question for the Swimming Pool experts

Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to post information on this subject. Much appreciated.
I guess there's nothing else for it. The pool will have to be drained. Drat and double drat!

I'll let you know how it goes.

Question for the Swimming Pool experts

Hi guys, can anyone tell me if I will have to drain the pool in order to do some very small grout repairs between tiles. I literally have about a dozen 1-2 inch strips of broken grout. I'd hate to have to waste all that water. Not to mention the expense. Trying to get to the bottom of why it's happe...

Re: renting house ASAP 6 ppl right now

You would have to negotiate the internet connection with the owner/landlord. Most rental houses provide Internet access these days, whether or not it meets your specific requirements is another matter. There are others on here who know more about this subject and the costs involved.

Hopefully it will be a fun experience for all. I have always found Thai people to have a good sense of humour and have shared many a laugh over things that got "lost in translation". Will be interesting to read your future posts. I just hope your visitors can cope with the North European c...

Re: renting house ASAP 6 ppl right now

Lance, finding a large house on the beach in Hua Hin within your budget might be a big ask. Have you thought of looking at Pak Nam Pran, a town further south. You will get more for your buck there and might find something close to or on the beach. An Internet search will bring up a few different opt...
