Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Might be the final wash-out/pullback happening now that people were talking about. Could be a good time to buy altcoins over the next few days and just hold for a bit. A bit of a horror show the last day or so.
It also seems that some more exchanges are having issues, like that one in Singapore.

Re: Toyota Yaris ATIV - 1.2 liter engine?

I suppose, as with any car, you have to ask yourself the question "What do I want it for?" People buy different cars or vehicles for all sorts of reasons, from being practical with a pickup to a being pimpy with a second-hand Merc S300. As a 6ft 110 kilo dude there is nothing I can think o...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Must say, that ADA (Cardano) is a bit of a disappointment today as the Vasil hardfork is supposed to happen today or tomorrow... hard to get a clear answer/info on it, to be honest. Was hoping for a rally, but what happened today was due to the FED upping interest rates. Guess I'll have to hang on t...

Re: Buying land as a foreigner.

Why even bother spending time and effort coming up with such a policy? Almost no-one qualifies and any that do contemplate it are likely not playing with a full deck of cards. You would have to be a nutjob to be considering that for 1 rai of land... assuming the goalposts don't change like the weath...

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand

Well, here's what has crossed my mind sometimes, it's not just people that are in huge debt (and were encourage to borrow so that we could spend our way out of the post 2008 economic malaise) but government borrowing has created huge debt mountains too everywhere. Really, government and central bank...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

What trading forum/base/software are you using? I'm based in the UK, but assume you can access most online? I have been using Coinbase in the past, but hardly the best or most user friendly!! Pretty much what Buksida said. Binance is good and easy to sign up for, just a pic of passport, fill out ba...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Hey folks, Been trading Apecoin, the one attached to NFTs about the popular bored ape or whatever style for last couple weeks, and it is nuts with so many swings recently from $3.5 to $5.3 today... so many chances to buy and sell with good margins if you have like 500 bucks or more/even less. It's a...

Re: Renewing a UK passport in Thailand

Your new passport requires a letter of authenticity from the MFA. KeyVisa did that for you. It was certainly the case 18 months ago but..... rules change. Interesting, I didn't need that, and looks like we renewed at a similar time. Maybe the authenticity letter from the MFA is a requirement if you...

Re: Renewing a UK passport in Thailand

But you dont mention how long the process took in total? How long did you wait for new passport(albeit 2 years ago)? I will now assume they gave you back the current one on that first visit and you had to return for new one X weeks later to cancel original Back then, and it was October 2020 plus af...

Re: Renewing a UK passport in Thailand

I did mine myself 2 years ago (but I live only 3 hours away from BBK). Just went down to the Trendy building with the documents and it was easy as... service was fine. Couple of things though, you'll need a second form of ID other than the passport, like a Thai driving licence or an official documen...

Re: Thailand plans to decriminalize cannabis

There will be lots of this happening now and for a while with people being stoned doing all sorts of silly stuff and the chaos that will ensue. It's ironic, that a group of military generals have overseen such a mess-up of a policy on drug decriminalization. Totally ill-thought out to appease Bumuti...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Buying and holding is risky as hell with crypto, especially at the moment, unless you bought for peanuts and are holding from a while back and can wait it out. For me, I'm just day trading with an amount that is superfluous if lost... like 500-700 bucks a pop. However, it's enough to catch waves eac...

Re: Thailand borrows 13 billion baht from Japan

Seems a strange amount to borrow, and in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing really... like just over US $370 million. Also, what about the famously high reserves of FX that Thailand supposedly has? Though, at that interest rate from the Japanese bank and it being waved for 4 years, you might a...
