Re: Mobile phone blockers in Hua Hin?

I can definitely see an 'entertainment' factor in having one.

What would people do if not staring at their phones ??? 555

Although you could kill someone, by not allowing an emergency call to get through. Oh well, scrambled eggs and all........just for chuckle.

Re: International Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2018

I hope they do something right, as use to be a regular, since the very first one. Think last one I attended was 2010. Used to be 3 or 4 stages, all free, then tried to go up scale. Then either cover charges at hotel or no name acts for free. This one looks much better than the past, and might pop up...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

Interesting they are taking serious (on paper anyway) steps to prevent any future taste tests. Though personally, I'd rather see them build a platform over the area, so people can marvel at the lovely creatures. Oh well ........ good to keep jellies away, maybe. At least they pulled their heads out ...

Re: Snakes in the house and garden

Knowing all are not poisonous, and knowing exactly what they all look like, and can tell them apart is a different story. Unless a cobra is up and hooded, it looks like every other dark snake. Except for Kraits, they all look the same to me, except the green one with antennas....555 So for my daught...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

Yes, most shark bites are in shallow water, and close to shore. I guess Thai officials never watch 'shark week', or saw clips of Orcas taking seals off the beach ..... 555 They'll never admit they got sharks cruising the coastline 24 / 7. Anyone thinking otherwise..........well, is an idiot. Size, t...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

Wind was about the same, guessing, but tide may have changed, maybe from ebb to out, and beach is shallower at Ao Manoa, which should actually help with vis. Just surprised me, and don't care to swim in water I can't see my feet at chest height. Bit paranoid about jellies at times. Sharks I'd welcom...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

Yes, it is strange how some is crystal clear, when close by isn't quite as, or not at all. South end of main HH beach at Buddha is consistently clear, where at Centara, almost opaque....555 Morning stroll with dog is at Ao Prachaup, as sewer for the municipality, and if clear there, then I might pop...

Re: Shark Attack - Had Sai Noi

At least pulling their heads out of the coral, and confirming it was a bite. Bet the doc will never lie for the authorities again. A shark bite is a good thing, well, not for his foot. But should be a tourist attraction now. Expecting a sign and admission fee soon.......555 Considering how many peop...

Re: Massive exodus from Bangkok - 7 deadly days of Songkran begin

Good for a headliner I guess, as 420 over 7 days is about the average of 60 a day, on any given day, give or take. Simply matching the daily average of every day in Thailand.
