Actually it can be in a foreign currency account in USD, GBP, Whatever, but it must be in Thai bank

An option I have discussed with my financial advisor is not bringing money into my bank account but transferring to my partners bank account. He thinks this could be a good idea as there is nothing in the new rulings about this.

It is like they are determined to destroy the economy. Why not just close all 1 to 3 star hotels, guest houses, hostels etc and make only 4 and 5 stat accomodation available.
