Re: Hua Hin bars closing at midnight

Why do so many drinkers start drinking late and then moan about midnight closing? If you start your evening session with a sundowner at 6pm, you'll be adequately rat-arsed by midnight.. Well in my case at 6pm i'm hardly finished working, and in any case I still have the kids around (homework, showe...

Re: Hua Hin bars closing at midnight

If you are up for girly fun in Hua Hin then 12am is fine. I suppose the real drinkers are the ones peed off. You're right for the girls, but you don't need to be a "real drinker" to be able to enjoy a night out with friends. After a day's work (say it's Friday), I like to chill out with f...

Chromeman I'm sorry to break the news but unfortunately Baan Chang closed some time ago and Nissa doesn't plan on reopening.

Re: 1000 terabytes on a DVD

It's not all about storage capacity, DVD readers are still awfully slow. I love my good old tape player for this, you put the tape in and that's it! But DVD no, you can't even open it at once because it takes some time just to figure out if a disc is already in or not, then it takes some more time t...

Re: Good service at B-Quick.

I was quoted 4,800 baht per tyre (Bridgestone Turanza 195/55 R16) in a shop in Kanchanburi, 4,990 baht in Ratchaburi and 4,990 baht also at B-Quick. Then I went to Bridgestone (soi 54/1) and they quoted 3,650 baht. I had the guy double check that it was the same model and that it was indeed the pric...

I have to change my tyres and I found this thread... Could someone be more precise about the location? I'm not familiar with HH. Thanks in advance.

Re: Black Mountain water park project

Hi Mauris, I have a 6 yo boy and 3 yo daughter, they love water and they have a lot of fun when we take them there. If you give it a try beware of the sun and apply a lot of cream on them as often as you can.

Re: GPS needs fixing

Have you tried driving around for some time, or have you given up after a few minutes each time? I know when some GPS units loose signal they can take up to 15 minutes to get a hold of it again. Yes I tried. Each time it said "do you want to continue searching for satellites" I touched Ye...

Re: GPS needs fixing

Thanks for your replies. I bought in Bangkok 2 years ago or something. It used to work fine, same car, same location, it just started to lose staellites from time to time, and now it finds them only when the car doesn't move. As soon as I start to drive, it loses the signal again. I had it restored ...

GPS needs fixing

Where in Hua Hin can I have my GPS fixed? It's a Garmin nuvi 205, recently it started to lose the satellites as soon as the car was moving. Thanks for your help.
