Re: Thailand's Bubble Economy Is Heading For A 1997-Style Cr
This is exactly what happened in Spain more property than buyers My ex's family had a place in Javea since the mid 70's. Right through until about 1997 or 1998, the market there was horribly depressed. It was always cheaper to buy new-build than 'pre-owned' because the local developers could shift ...

I have a micro light license and have been to Chachoengsao, Chonburi, about 6 years ago to have a look at a flight club there. I met Kuhn Tip and was very amazed about there eqipment (Tecnam P-92, Fresh Breeze paramotor) Don't know about getting a license but they can help you. You had to join the R...

Hmmmm spitfire.... Had to read it twice to understand what you mean. Well, i have a german daughter who went to High School in Germany. As it is our family policy that our childs have to go abroad to learn english for a year, normally she would have gone to England for that, she asked me if she can ...

Re: Hua Hin to Samui
Agree with the above posters. If you want to drive you are heading through Chumphon to Surat Thani and then take the ferry from Donsak to Samui. Did this myself a couple of times and it's pretty easy.
Driving time to Surat Thani is about 4 hours and to Donsak about 5 hours.

Re: Bangkok lawyer imperative in house purchase?
I would never recommend any lawyer myself. Go to your embassy and ask for one. They have a list.
One recommendation though is not to take a lawyer from the town where you're going to buy as they are involved in the local property business.

Re: Back Pain
Back pain is very individual. So, you should not think what is good for this one will be good for me. I've had this for many years in Thailand and swallowed every pill available. After a couple of years i needed a surgery because the jelley between 2 of my discs broke open and there was no other way...

Re: Dollar vs. Baht
Everyone living here is looking for a better currency rate. The trueth is, i think, that there will not be any improvement in the near future because at the moment there is a "war of currencies", meaning every country is looking for a low exchange rate to keep their exports running. This i...

Maybe interesting for some. Just read it.

Anyway, agree with you all. No need for an overstay and it will give you a nice stamp into your passport which will not be nice if you apply for a work permit.
