Re: Buying online from Lazada
I've ordered from Shopee several times from my desktop and it's been fine. I ordered twice via smartphone and it never arrived but I got the refund. Apparently they can't find the address then.

I didn't have to buy anything for this Thai Pass, because since May 1st you don't need any tests or hotel.

Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates
I applied for a Thailand Passport at 2pm yesterday and got the approval at 10pm. I have uploaded a letter from my insurance company stating that Covid is insured up to $100,000. I only need it in June, but I didn't count on the expectation that it would be taken down in June.

Re: Chess Tournament
I played at the chess tournament on May 7th and 8th. There were 18 players in the open section, 3 of them with more than 2000 Elo points. I won the trophy for the best of 3 seniors over 60.

Re: Chess Tournament
I think there will be a wide range of ratings in this tournament, from 2000 to 0. There is also a chess club in Hua Hin
but I don't go there because I live in Pranburi.

I just registered for the Rapid Tournament on 7. and 8. May. There is an ATK Test provided by the organizer, which is included in the entrance fee of 800 Baht.

Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
In January, immigration transferred the visa to my new passport. Now, 90 days later, I didn't have much hope that the online application would work. But to my surprise it was accepted and confirmed 31 hours later.

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
When I asked at a small Kasikorn branch in Pranburi, they had no idea what I was talking about. So I made the deposit account at Bangkok Bank. They told me that all the banks should know the immigration requirements

Sometimes they want to see a map of where you live (may be hand drawn) and sometimes they want to see the house book if you or your partner owns a house.

It also depends on the whim of the officer. Last year I had to bring a copy of the house book with me for the first time, this year I didn't need it.
