Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

I'm downloading everything I need these days, supplemented by True Visions for the footie and ifollow to watch Plymouth Argyle matches live. I was watching the likes of Sky News live via a freebie VPN, but that hasn't worked for a couple of weeks now, with the message: sky.jpg I've been thinking th...

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

I’ve recently returned to Thailand after spending about 19 months in the UAE and only now started to miss the demise of ThaiExpatTV so decided to invest in a VPN so that I could connect to BBC, ITV etc. I have subscribed to ExpressVPN at a cost of $100 pa so quite a bit cheaper than ThaiExpatTV. Alt...

Great photo & video Big Boy.

Does it flood bad in Cha-Am?
My wife showed me numerous photos of flooding in Cha Am yesterday, so yes is the answer, but this is normally a 1 or 2 times event in a year that lasts a few days only.

Re: Poor choice of dashcams on Lazada!

I bought a front and rear camera set from Amazon in the UK and had a visitor bring it out. The make is Bnoia (I’d never heard of them either) but the buyers reviews were good and it has a 170 degree angle so covers full left and right traffic. The cost was £37 = 1600 Baht and Mitsubishi charged me j...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Well that storm certainly woke me up. Haven't seen one as spectacular for ages. Quite fun really and unlike some unfortunates, our power stayed on....... so far! Yes thunder and lightning show to beat all others, served up with a prolonged downpour the likes of which I am struggling to recall. Fort...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Well there has certainly been some fairly persistent rain most of the day and more forecast for the rest of the night/early morning - looking like I will have to drain some water from the swimming pool soon!!

Re: House market in Hua Hin

Hello, I'm new to the forum, I am considering buying a house in Hua Hin and find quite an amount houses on the market, I am interested in knowing if the market is going well or if there is a pressure on the prices due to overstock. It is not for a short term investment but would be interesetd to ha...

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

That Shiva looks lovely, have added it to my to-do list. Thanks! When I have been there, they ask you what strength you want your curry using %age, so 100% would be “call the fire brigade my throats on fire” to 50-60% would be more like a Madras and 80% a Vindaloo - not sure what a korma would be? ...

I agree withBB, the only thing against Shiva is it is out of town so you need transport or a taxi, but food and setting is at the top.

Re: Tax Residency

A Singapore bank recently asked where I was resident for tax purposes, when opening a second account. As my main account was at another local branch and I was a long term customer, I bluffed my way out of the question. Looks like this was new requirement for new customers. A few years ago, I worked...
