Re: Football (not Premier League)
Birmingham who are one point below Plymouth have a very difficult game against Norwich on Saturday so as long as Plymouth don’t do worse than Birmingham they’ll stay up - even if Birmingham draw and Plymouth lose, you’ll still stay up with a better goal difference - squeaky bum time!!

Re: Premier League 2023-24
As a neutral, it was one of those games that could have easily gone the other way - both sides had chances to add to their goals or stop some that went in - that’s how football goes sometimes, it’s unpredictable and why most people get so passionate about it. On balance of play/chances, a draw would...

Re: Cookin Corner
There was discussion on a separate thread about naan bread and today I was cooking an Indian curry and serving it with pilau rice, garlic naan bread and onion bahjis - the latter two bought from Makro and the rice and curry homemade. I would normally use basmati rice for the pilau, but had forgotten...

Buying naan bread in Hua Hin
Im not sure where else to buy them, but the frozen ones in Makro are the best supermarket naan that I can remember buying I agree. They keep well in the freezer and taste great when heated up a bit. Guess what I’m having for dinner tonight - Indian chicken curry and Pilau rice (both homemade), naan...

Buying naan bread in Hua Hin
I have made my own from time to time but not on a regular basis, simply because the Makro ones are good. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240428/3d5d0f9b2f040427ef4ee7582da5dfcd.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240428/20db205a5006871416bbde5bd0e9c5a2.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Buying naan bread in Hua Hin
Makro have a good selection of frozen Indian breads. Their parathas fry up well, I don't know about their naan. I may have seen fresh (well, unfrozen) naan in Villa Market, maybe someone else can confirm this. Im not sure where else to buy them, but the frozen ones in Makro are the best supermarket...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
Despite the Colonel’s earlier pessimism, Everton have avoided relegation so can look forward to another season in the Premier League - hopefully next year they will play better and won’t have any more points deduction to contend with!!

Re: Hua Hin water shortage
Mine is underground and measures 8mtr x 4mtr x 2 mtr - no, we've never had a water supply problem :D Wow, that's huge! 64 cubic metres, is that a common size? The houses I've lived in had tanks of only a few thousand litres, and I always thought that was the norm. I guess it’s better to have one to...

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income
Having checked the UK's double taxation agreement with Thailand, and as all of my income comes from the UK, I am really not bothered about this new taxation. All I am waiting for is if I am required to report details of my UK income, where and how do I do so? I agree. I only have UK income, and tha...
