Re: 3 X 3 Film Challenge

#2 is Michael Imperioli.

#3 might be Raymond Massey, but he made his last film before Michael made his first.

Re: BELLA MIA ITALIAN RESTAURANT SOI 94

I've had 4 pizzas at Bella Mia and plan to have more. I like the taste and style. Pizza style is a thin and foldable crust. Both sauce and cheese are not in excessive amounts (when I bite a slice I want a mouthful of pizza, not a mouthful of cheese) and there are enough toppings that you'll get some...

Re: First & last visit to Grand Steak 2, Soi 94. Ripped off.

I tried Grand Steak 2 at Soi 94 once. That was enough to never go back. Only went there to escape a sudden downpour on my way to dinner. My hopes for the food quality was no higher than 'adequate'. Ordered two items, don't remember what one of them was. The second item was a salad, pictured with tom...

Re: Miccrosoft release Internet Explorer 9

My new laptop, which is running Linux, just laughed. Seriously, for those who have never tried Linux there are two 'distros' (aka versions) that are specifically aimed at weaning people off of Windows. Both can be run from a CD or USB without having to install them. Go ahead, check it out. I use htt...

Re: Noiseless aircondition

Silent AC is great when awake but when I sleep (which is the only time I use the AC) I want noise. Steady white noise to help mask sounds from outside my place. Between AC & earplugs I rarely hear the dog fights unless they're under my window. Roosters? What roosters?

A Pattern Language 35 year old classic. Presents 'patterns' extracted from the world's architecture. Patterns range in scope from the layout of cities down to doornobs. The book has many intents, the one most interesting to me is that it's about designing to facilitate social interaction. My favorit...

Re: Seeking brewers yeast and other nutritionally dense food

Found the sesame seeds at Tesco. I think I need new glasses. Anyway, the bag size is small but so is the price per ounce -- er gram -- so that's OK.

Re: Seeking brewers yeast and other nutritionally dense food

Thanks for the replies. I had a brain fart about the walnuts - I had some sitting 3 feet from the keyboard while writing the post. You can buy bulk Spirulina, a great source of vegetable protein with lots of other benefits or capsules/powder in Golden Place. Excellent! you'll find many Thai dishes h...

Seeking brewers yeast and other nutritionally dense foods

I prefer to get my vitamins and minerals in nature's form, not pill form. I haven't seen any of the following in HH. brewers yeast (yeah, I know about vegamite/maramite) pignolias (pine nuts) walnuts blackstrap molassas whole grains of any sort sesame seeds in bulk flaxseeds (Villa Market has a flax...

Cost of single re-entry permit?

Forum search turned up posts saying 1000 b and some that said 1800 b. I probably should have paid attention to when it was posted. Anyway, what is the price now? The government's web site says 1000. Recent rule changes say the permits have to be bought at the same place one reports. Makes me think t...

Re: What kind of dried seafood is in this photo?

It looked like a bunch of little fish stuck together but I couldn't wrap my brain around why anyone would put in all that efford. But I do have two ideas: edible mini-frisbie, or maybe just a snack that can be stored in a CD drive.
