Re: Quick and cheap transport from Bangkok?

Two thumbs up for Leo's driver and car. My bus arrived 4:10am, 50min early in Bangkok. Mr. Ling was only minutes away. Driving his fully loaded newer Toyota Camry. Drove in a very safe manner. Would stop anywhere you wanted. My better half and I shared the back seat with plenty of room to spare. Lar...

Re: Grace's American Burgers: The worst costumer experience

I can't beleive this thread has made 5 pages??? All about a undercooked burger and a grumpy cook!

And now I'm making this thread longer.....Lol!!

I'm sure we could discuss more important stuff. No?

I will be in Hua Hin tomorrow....where to eat? :?

Re: We are looking for property solutions in Hua Hin

Are you looking for an investment or a home? Rent something for 6 months and look around and ask more questions regarding the pitfalls, there are plenty. Remember why are you choosing Thailand and find a place with that in mind, do you really want to be 10km from a decent beach? The 10km statement ...

Re: Light beer

Too funny! Its taking me 40 years to learn the same thing.
I switched to light beer just over a year ago.
Sometimes I have a few regular beer to get things going.
No doubt, the morning after is better and you don't feel nearly as sick.
Bonus, you belly doesn't grow as fast either.

Re: Reliable Pool Cleaner

Good point Dannie.
I would much rather pay more for good service than getting a discount and sub par service.
Cheap people pay twice!
Just give me good service and I will give you good money.

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

A few of us would like to play in this Team Amateur Championship.
But, we don't have handicap certificates.
Where would we get one?
How many rounds do you need to get a cert?
Thanks

Re: The nightmare at market village/home pro

HHfarang, you are 100% correct! Home Depot, Rona (Canada), Lowes are just as you said. Heck, you can return stuff you have used for a week...with no receipt. Most of there staff are very knowledgable. If one doesn't have the answer, they find someone who does. But, I didn't buy a house in HH for ser...

Re: Cost of living in Hua Hin

I think some of you are getting a little scattered on the purpose of this thread. Cost of living should be broke into a couple different categories. The needs... Shelter-Condo, House, Hotel. Own or Rent? Whats the cheapest? Food-Markets or Tesco? Grow a garden if you really want to save. Ste...

Re: Reliable Pool Cleaner

12x4 pool. I was quoted 2500baht/mth. 2 times/week. Includes chemicals and salt. When they come for there weekly visits, they check the whole system for issues or problems. Supposedly very knowledgable staff not just there to pick the leaves out of the pool. This company built the pool and I am very...

Re: Living in Thailand

Good thread! I've been visiting Thailand for 7 years. Usually stay for a month or two, twice a year. Just bought a house in HH with my bro. I want to live in HH/Thailand for at least 6 months of the year. I too am planning my retirement in HH. For most of the same reasons, better value for my money ...
