If you have stayed at a hotel . . . please review

Love to hear reviews of hotel by name. I'd like to see the hotel name in the subject/post line. Then a quick review including location and rates and time of year.

Thanks all.

Love my visits to Hua Hin. I try to stay at different hotels just to get a greater feel of community.

How do you get around in Hua Hin?

Automobile?
Walk?
Motobike?
Taxi?
Bus?
Train?
Airplane?

Interested to know what Expats living in Hua Hin have/do for a mode of transportation.

I was there couple/few years ago. The hotel was being renovated.

I did dine at the outside restaurant couple times. Good.

The hotel is in a good location. The price back then was 1,500 baht.

If it has gone up, please state so.

Eye Glasses

Thailand. Eye Glasses. I have purchased all of my eye glasses in Thailand for the last 20 years. Never any problems. I usually get some each trip. I tend to lose glasses or break them. Mine are single prescription. I pay anywhere between 1,500 and 2,000 Baht - total. But I avoid the fancy ones like ...

Cell Phone - Registration

I had a nice Thai gal get mine. I paid. She bought. So who is kidding whom? About 2,000 Baht and includes card and 100 minutes. All set up and ready to go. Nice flip phone. No brand name though. Everything is being monitored now anyway. All emails are saved someplace. All phone calls are monitored. ...

Airport Lounge

I still don't see any answer to the original post. Are there any airline or other type lounge to hang out in - other than the airport terminal itself at BKK airport? As an example: Flying on Korean in the new airport in Korea, there is a restaurant, short time hotel area (beds for napping/sleeping)...

Shirt

Next time you order shirts, try to find one with a pocket. I must have a pocket on all my shirts. In fact, when I visit LOS, I always have 3 shirts tailored, and those shirts have two front pockets. Pockets, pockets, pockets . . . . :lach:

Passport

In my 20 years of traveling to Thailand, I have never carried my passport. It IS a good idea to make a photocopy and carry that with you. The only time I needed passpart was cashing travelers checks. Now, I just use the ATM. I always - always- take a business card from hotel with me at all times. Ju...

Hotel - Noise

Hotels and noise. I personally did not hear any construction noise once in hotel. Construction seems to be a part of the visit. Pattaya had construction everywhere. They are tearing down the old and putting up the new. In Hua Hin we walked thru the Hilton and the Sofitel. Large compounds and I doub...
