Re: Computer service and repairs in Hua Hin?
Best computer repair shop by far is the shop near by the grand hotel/just before san Paulo hospital coming from the south on the main drag next to the wine alcohol shop. They speak good enough English and do not rip you off.

Re: Letter from US Embassy for proof of income
Part of this thread indicated that the US Embassy does not require proof of income??? They require a copy of your Social Security income statement, military pension or other documented income source in order to obtain the income letter. I used my military pension statement obtained from the DFAS.gov...

Re: Normal tip for caddie in Hua Hin ?
I give 250 if the service is OK. Not the yardage or reading the green but more of their attitude and being pleasant. I can see the yardage marker and can read my own green (poorly but that is part of the game). If they are grumpy and cannot keep up with the walk I give less and tell them why at the ...

Absolute best german food in town
Maya's bar located near behind SOI 80 (Blue building) has the best Germany food I have had in Thailand. Best cabbage rolls, cordon bleu, Schnitzel and pepper steaks that equal any of the best I had in my 40 years living in Germany prior to retiring here. Inexpensive and the cook lived and cooked in ...

Re: TRICARE acceptance at Bangkok Hospital HH?
I have used the hua hin branch and am covered under TRICARE but you have to prepay and submit the claim to tricare for reimbursement. Since the cost of medical care is much less than the US I was reimbursed for all the care I had when I had an overnight stay due to a motorbike accident less the 25% ...

Re: Help to transfer funds from Bangkok Bank to Third Party
Once you set up your 3rd party account and get the initial OTP to establish the account you will get one more otp when you make your first transfer the the new account you set up. After that subsequent transfers are accomplished without a otp and sms to your phone. So if you are abroad set up all yo...

Re: Visiting San Paulo? Visit the ATM first!
No sympathy if you do not have adequate insurance coverage if you live here or on vacation. If you do not have adequate coverage go back to your home country and stop complaining. Your bill seemed reasonable by most world standards but you obviously had to pay out of pocket because of poor planning ...
