When we renewed out son's we used Key Visa and didn't go anywhere near Bangkok.

Some sound advice above. If you have limited motorcycle experience don't do it. Hua Hin is a hellish place to ride, the traffic is horrendous and you will get pulled over multiple times and fined if you don't have a Thai license or the bike is the wrong colour.

I've used Kodi with various free builds for some time now however the caveat is that it needs a fair bit of technical knowledge to setup, research to keep updated, and a lot of patience. But then reading this thread indicates you need more patience to deal with True!
