May be it's fun in the beginning! You can choose to visit different places in different countries around Thailand, especially when you have to apply for a brand-new visa. The one day trips to cross a borderline aren't that bad, too. If you stay in BKK, you even can do a one-day-trip by plane to Sing...

IMO, no big deal with these stickers...I got mine in the Tessabahn today...same area where i applied before...coming in and 10 minutes later out again... :thumb:

The traffic jam within the town, because of the actually "smart" regulations is another story, of course

Well, I also have my doubts in view of a better organization here in Hua Hin. It seems for me more to be the last catch at a straw, to avoid another heavy compromise of Thailand within the ASEAN-Community. Anyway, it was possible to register successfully today...but not at the Temple or Clock Tower ...

For me the same as for Paderborn! The 2 Ladies at the information desk, groundfloor, Market Village were very helpful and gave even a small city-map to show the place of registration at Chomsin Road today and tomorrow. Unfortunately, I was to dumb to find it... They also told me, that there wi...

Lomu, to visit "friends" or "family-members" are options to get a non-imm....if you're very lucky...lol "Family-members" means not automatically Thai-citizens. It can be also your own Dad, Mom, Cousin, whoever, which is living in Thailand on a Non-Imm or Residency Permi...

Ah, come on SJ, don't start to be childish...I think you're smart enough to understand all written arguments above without the need to divorce them from theirs context! Fact is that the mentioned neighbor-countries offers many different and even easy ways for foreigners to stay, live and work. Our h...

Don't try to twist my words all the time! I gave you already all answers about letting all your money invested in neighbor-countries, about the different benefits you'll get for your money if you want to apply for visa-programs and about the links to read and understand the facts hopefully! As you s...

So, SJ, you really think it's more comfortable in TH to show 40,000B/month as a foreigner which is married to a local or 400,000B in an account to get a 1 year-visa without any further rights , than to show about 340,000B in an account plus a 27,000 Baht-income for the right to live, work and study ...

Buksi, if this hypothetical person wouldn't be married with 2 kids, I would strongly recommend to move to Cambodia, Phils or Malaysia. The visa-requirements are much easier than in Thailand! Cambodia: US$ 25 for a business-visa (1 month valid, possible to get on the airport), after that month applyi...

Whenever there was a chance, I enjoyed to visit the Phils. In the moment it means about 6 times in the last 4 years. Your report and the pics are excellent, Buksi, and I'm agree with your given points to TH and the Phils in general. I just have a different opinion in view of the cuisine. I'm not a b...

hmmm... I suppose you're true!

Well, that's TH...we all know about their double price system for locals and foreigners in many other ways...so why not ATM-fees, too?
There aren't so many Farangs as tourists anymore...just a few...and some expats...who's care, if they feel pissed?
