Re: Visiting the Animals at Kuiburi National Park

I don't know why this place isn't world famous. I've been three times this year and will keep going back. More or less guaranteed elephants. Can't imagine you can say that about many places that aren't a zoo. Took a few photos in June. Hopefully, this link will work: https://flickr.com/photos/121488...

Re: RIP Steve Coulman

Does anyone know if the pest control business will continue? Would like to still support it as I'm sure many others will too.

Re: RIP Steve Coulman

Awful news. Like many, we first got to know Steve through his pest control service. There wasn't much worth knowing in Hua Hin that Steve didn't know or anything he couldn't sort out.

Re: Andreas Italian Restaurant & Grill

Andreas is in a different league. World class. Andrea took a risk going solo with his new restaurant but he has made it work. He's trained & picked his staff well too. Pricey for Hua Hin but still good value for fine dining

Re: Vinyl record shop

I've seen one of the little shops in the Chatsila market offshoot from the HH Night Market with a stock of vinyl. Very varied selection. Seemed quite pricey

As a life long cider drinker, I have to ask.

Does anyone actually like Blackthorn?

I find it a pretty revolting can of chemicals myself.

There's a furniture shop and then there's the cafe. But then you knew that.

Monsoon, the shop, not the cafe, have to order from Bangkok.

Remind me to think twice before I say nothing next time.

Thanks, I'll keep looking. The antique shop opposite YOBT has a couple of really old ones. Monsoon have had new but old style fans in the past but only floorstanders at the moment.

Antique style fans

There is a style of electric fan that is old fashioned but looks better than the modern style (It's also easier to stick your fingers in!)(and costs more).
There is a wall mounted version (Monsoon have one on the wall).
Any idea where you can buy one?

We got an equivalent to the Kreepy Krawly thing for our pool in Spain. It simply headed for a corner and sulked. Moving it away meant a clean line back to the same corner. The pool floor is flat, No deep end, so gravity wasn't to blame. Essentially a waste of money. I think if you pay for a real rob...
