Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

I had no choice but to use 3bb fibre optic where I am as its the only provider. True and AIS said they would do at some stage. But it will have to be something special to make me change.

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport

There's a farang up in Korat who positively purrs when talking of how he slips 500 baht in his passport when passing it for examination, to 'ease the process'. Even though he qualifies for a visa extension. So I guess that's what they mean.

'Opening in March', then 'May' on the last visit I was told 'June'. Now 'August'!!
I'd say August is optimistic. I drove past two days ago and they haven't fitted all the windows yet, yet alone started on the inside.

Re: Pies in Hua Hin

I have a sausage roll and two steak and kidney pies (2 for the price of one) in the fridge that I picked up earlier from Andreanna's (on the right, not far down as you head for Takiap, having taken the turn off from Hua Hin). I've heard good things about them. These have all been consumed now and h...

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

One to avoid is Everest on the junction on Poonsuk and soi Kanjanomai (where the Thupurai hotel is). Earlier, I had one of those cravings you get for an Indian from to time. Nothing else would do. I actually went to Mehfil, opposite the Hilton, which I ate at once before and although pricey, the foo...

I have no idea what the situation is if you're exchanging a one or two 2 year licence for another 2 year licence.
I don't think that's an option.

Its interesting how CHA in one form or another is the word for Tea in Chinese, Thai and Hindi (Any more?) and I think in the UK it is a slang word for tea.
It is indeed, as is a cup of rosie lea!

I guess you could try the place that manufactures their own rattan furniture, it's on the corner of soi9/1 directly on Petchkasem Road, on the right hand side if heading from Hua Hin to Cha am. https://www.google.co.th/maps/@12.6059738,99.9500519,3a,75y,119.55h,88.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1swBEg-dTghKE...

Re: Pies in Hua Hin

I've been there 2/3 times and never found a pork pie or anything I fancied - this was in the afternoon. Massaman pies don't cut it for me, nor meat and potato if I can't understand what meat is in the pie. So I guess she's doing all right if that's all that's left later.
