Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

The plaza area is owned by the family who have the Sukwilai Hotels in Binta...They let the whole plaza to a 'high up' lady in HH immigration, & each venue there paid rent to her.
Now I am unable to confirm if this is indeed still the way it's run now, but that was how it was at the start/opening.

Re: Police corruption, drug tested in Hua Hin

They pulled me about a month back...they were set-up to stop riders/drivers on the track thru' the Chinese graveyard behind Big C..made me wait 20 mins, made me drink 3 bottles of water, & when I still told them I could'nt pee they let me go.. Not hiding, but they were not in full view of the public...

Re: Govt: hellish airport immigration queues must end

Let's wait to see if all these reports of long queues finds their way to the institutions/polls that set airport-ratings..
..then wait for the new round of AoT promises as Swampy slides further down the scale.

Re: Koh Tao police to reopen death case of Belgian tourist

The Sun newspaper in the UK has just run this story...& has also made readers aware of all the other victims over the last 3 yrs, & the suspicious nature of each of their deaths. * All backpackers *All quite young * Suicide being the leading cause of death according to the RTP. Not looking good for ...

Re: New bike path on Highway 4

The above posting by Nick NCFC is correct..the barriers that were in place have now been ripped out in some parts, the cycle-track tarmac is now starting to have big holes in it (WTF?) The gates/barriers are always opened & never locked in place...(this maybe due to the amphur deciding to plant all ...

Re: Hua Hin to get it's own walking street?

Yes Binta is now a 'Walking St'..but (at the temple end) you've got street-traders blocking 1 side of the (almost full width) no-entry barrier, & bar-girls from Tina Bar standing in 2's & 3's always blocking the other entry point.. folk on many occasions do have to push thru'.

Re: El Toro Loco R.I.P??

Rumour has it that the real reason for closing & moving is nothing to do with a Bintabaat 'clean-up', & that another big bar close to El Toro may well be closing too.

Re: Hua Hin to Sisaket

There is a VIP coach leaves H.H. bus station (on the south side of Hua Hin) every night at ~ 9pm. This coach has TVs in the seat-backs, big leather seats & comes up from Phuket (it has 4 drivers on board) To the best of my knowledge it terminates either in Si-Saket or Surin..? Maybe a visit to bus s...

*Closed* Kitten needs a loving home...

I have a 2 month old male tabby kitten that is in need of a family to love him & care for him. He has just had his 1st course of injections, but as yet has not been neutered... he's loving,& purrs all the time. & uses a litter-tray at the mo. He's a bit skinny, but is strong. Our problem is that in ...

I refuse to watch this video. But what many folk have indeed commented on, & in their opinion is just as bad as the attack itself.. is the arm-in-the-air act of triumph displayed at the end by one of the attackers.

Re: Orbea cycle shop

I was in there last year..yes the bikes are indeed pricey, but I guess you pay for the name. I bought my mtb on e-bay in the UK, rode it, changed parts to suit, then stripped it & brought it over..(so much easier now many airlines are allowing 30kg baggage in economy). On various mtb forums over her...

Re: Minivan, bus and road accidents

Chonburi to Krabi is a fair distance for (I'm assuming) one driver to do..the likelihood of him falling asleep at the wheel, or at the very least being drowsy may come into play here.
R.I.P.those poor folk :(
