Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
I recently attended the Premium clinic. It was my first visit so had to register. I registered the day before I attended the clinic to give me plenty of time. This is the current procedure. Enter the main building and there are a number of window hatches on the left. Adjacent to them is a table with...

Sandwash sealing
6 months ago I had the sandwash on my pool terrace dug up and replaced with new sandwash. I am familiar with the discolourisation of my previous sandwash. When I returned to HH I was surprised to see how dirty the new sandwash has become. I have pressure washed it and it is nice and clean again. My ...

Re: Agoda hotel descriptions warning
I use trivago.com who compare hotel prices from multiple sites.
When the results come up don't automatically click on the green “view deal” button as the buttons below often give you cheaper prices.

Re: Flights to/from Thailand status, news, and updates
KLM have been charging for luggage for over a year now. I booked with them in March 2022 and they were charging £90 each way for a 23kg suitcase so £180 for a return trip from the UK. We had 4 passengers so the cost was extortionate. At that time Emirates were still more expensive.
Just remembered the name of my favourite one - Moon Smile and Platoo.
After the temple restaurants closed they moved to to the Plaza which closed down due to Covid. Moonsmile and Platoo is still on the go and they have reopened in a small unit on Chomsin Road (about 200m on left af...

Painting kitchen cabinet doors
Has anyone refreshed/modernised kitchen cabinet doors by painting them. Doors are a melamine type surface. I intend to degrease, sand and prime them before painting. Having looked at homepro website it is clear that the paints available in Thailand are different to those available in the UK or at le...

Re: Bats in roofspace
From internet research and speaking to a pest control person I learned that it is illegal to harm a bat but not illegal to block or disrupt a bat. I carried out a watch over 4 nights and on each occasion I counted 12 bats leaving the roofspace. I was satisfied that that was the total number under my...

Re: Trip to Krabi - transport options
Update…….We decided on taking the train. Booking was made online with baolau.com which was a clear and easy process. Tickets are not released until about 14/30 days prior travel and a passport number is required during the booking process. Tickets are quite cheap. We booked to 2038 2nd class a/c sle...

Re: Bats in roofspace
Carried out a watch last night. 12 bats came out of one ridge tile area and there is a sparrow nest in the adjacent ridge tile area. The gap the bats are using is about 1/2” wide but the bats themselves are pretty big.

Re: Bats in roofspace
Unusually, sat out on the pool terrace until after dark last night. As we sat we were skiffed by about 7/8 birds which flew close to our heads. They were intermittent and spaced over about 30 mins. We carried out a watch and it appears as though they were coming from below some ridge tiles.

Bats in roofspace
I think I might have reasonably large bats in part of my roofspace. This area is unaccessible so I cannot physically check it. Should they be removed or left there. I am concerned about build up of guana if left. Are they seasonal and do they migrate or do I try and block their access point after th...
