Re: What to wear for an interview in Thailand

The replies for interviews will have already read my CV as it is attached to the reply of the job application. I was just considering putting my portfolio on a USB because I do not have it printed out plus due to my folly, the actual high resolution files were saved on my stolen macbook. So I have s...

Re: HH Immigration, could be a very long wait?

I went there on the 5th and yes they have changed it as well, maybe the machine is broke and they have not fixed it yet because it is Thaland and everything takes, well forever. I sat there with my ticket #6, the woman called out 4 and then later 5, after she called out 8. I thought, "what, why...

Re: Getting Paid for Personal Blog Whilst Living in Thailand

I play online poker and have done for 6 years, 3 of those being in Thailand. I make a percentage of my keep here via that. I would also like to consider something like the OP suggested. I have some pretty interesting stories to tell lets just say. Of course, I would consider my spelling and grammar ...

Re: Christmas Visa

We have some pictures of going back through our relationship, some in Malaysia and here in Thailand. She has only ever been to Malaysia outside of Thailand which is another reason I really want to take her to the UK (even though I pretty much dislike the hell out of it myself now lol). But christmas...

Christmas Visa

I have been living here in SE Asia for a few years now without going home and I would like to spend a couple of weeks back in the UK for christmas but to take my partner as well. I understand it can be tricky getting a visa to the UK for a Thai person. Can anybody offer me advice on what I should do...

Re: Boycott the Multi-National Corporations in Thailand

Being Buddhist is a lot to do with accepting things for how they are, seeing the true nature of reality. Change with change, accept it and move on unless you think you can actually do something about it. Stopping the wheel of capitalism is not something you can do.

Re: Animals/Insects

I do remember seeing a swarm of something for a few days now come to think of it. This was just before the monsoon season but I thought they were dragon flies. I was on the rooftop of a nice guesthouse admiring the view. They were sometimes curious and flew near. Maybe it is the same thing, I don't ...

I remember a quite a few of them, I guess as with the language itself it will come as second nature with time. Anybody had dreams in Thai before?

Re: Animals/Insects

I have been in Hua Hin for 2 monsoons now and I have never experienced these insects flying around. However, I was not living in a house for the previous to monsoon seasons, so what can I expect with the rains?

Re: Usuful Thai words and idioms

Well I am fairly new to this forum so I would not know of this member who got the boot! Frog seemed so passionate about respecting Thai culture and Buddhism, so I just made that assumption. Back to topic anyways 'yaak' and 'ow' both mean to want something, but 'yaak' (low tone) comes before a verb, ...
