Re: Smoking ex-pats

No offense to you man BB...but doing cold turkey style isn't for everyone (is generally the most effective though) but doesn't have to be full of drama and works for some and not for others....all about the individual's persona. The drama is more thick with some than with others. Edit - To be fair, ...

Re: Smoking ex-pats

Only way to do it is cold turkey...that's how I did it and it worked.

Re: Minivan, bus and road accidents

Ahh...the old brake BS thing. I love the way they always find an excuse for their incompetence and point the finger elsewhere...he would have run away from the scene if he could have and then turned himself in a couple days later. Gave up public transport a long time ago as it's a whole load of BS m...

Yeah, maybe so, but just content for the passive user. Just a thought.

Crypto-currency value tracker

Just an idea admin, but how about a crypto-currency value tracker just under the currency conversion rates on the main page as there is a space for say like 2-4 of the main digital currency's value to be put there? The thread on the forum has attracted a lot of interest...maybe worth considering, yo...

Re: Smoking ex-pats

I have seen this situation from both sides, used to smoke 20 a day when was young but gave up just over 10 years ago and have not had a single one since. Personally, there should be a facility in indoor public places (restaurants/bars etc.) that allows smokers to smoke, with the least inconvenience,...

Re: Ten arrested in colour-coded crackdown on foreigners in Bangkok

Pretty piss-poor results for searches in 45 places in Bangkok. Should have been able to snag at least a few hundred scumbags just raiding Sukhumvit soi 4 to 13.....blimey.

Re: British Embassy in Bangkok To Be Sold Off

If they slashed the silly foreign aid budget from 13 billion to 6 billion (or less) then they could fix the NHS, the police/military financial budget holes plus increase the state pension etc. and on and on and on...but they won't because the PC BS holds sway. They even announced the increase in the...

Re: British Embassy in Bangkok To Be Sold Off

Soon there won't be a UK embassy here and they will run it from a 2 room condo in Sukhumivit with even less service than they have now...if that's possible.

Re: OpEd: When farangs go native

I cringe when foreigners try to be so Thai and totally mess-up their wai and do in the wrong way to the wrong person in the wrong situation, like old guys that do a wai to a waitress first when they walk in a restaurant or the old dude who does a wai to a bar girl etc.....big fail but they think the...

Re: Da Vinci international school Hua Hin

One of the problems is that these schools/unis/colleges are basically businesses (often family or religious ones) so good luck with the knowing the priorities of them....it's all about paying bums-on-seats....not educational excellence. They don't care for salaries in most places as they see their t...
