Re: Why do many expats not bother to learn to read?

For me I speak pretty fluent Spanish learned at a younger age when I lived with a Mexican family. At various points I didn't speak Spanish for years then would go to Mexico and it came back pretty quickly, then away again and back same thing. The Korean I learned was rudimentary and I also retained ...

Re: IHERB delivery

We went to the post office and they said delivered to customs..... Went to customs to get them, know the people the...

Re: Why do many expats not bother to learn to read?

Re: Electrician needed

Sounds like you have it sorted. A while back our electric went out so mrs m called the city. They came out in 30 minutes and said our main breaker was bad. There were 3 guys, 2 talking on their phone and one working. He disconnected the line in and removed the breaker and gave it to me. They waited ...

Re: No parking here

We parked downtown once in front of a business that was closed and went to dinner. When we returned the business, a bar, was open and the owner (?) came up to us complaining we had parked in front and he was going to call the cops. We told him it was closed, sorry and he said "Mai pen rai". I get mo...

Re: Heavy crackdown looms on Uber, ride-sharing apps

It is a damn shame that some competition can't be part of the Taxi industry in Thailand. At least Grab and Uber offered some hope of improved standards and integrity amongst local Taxi Operators. Whilst in Bangkok over the weekend went to Central World on Friday night and decided to take a Taxi fro...

When Steve and Sally went ice fishing not only did the other fisherman laugh at their outfits, but they also laughed at the way they were cutting a hole in the ice.
