Re: Dentist recommendation
Personally, I don't think you can get better than Nana. Everyone of my family have had treatment there, including my grandchildren and family from the UK. Other dentists use her for procedures they're unable to do themselves. They are one of the few dentists that can do wisdom teeth extractions. I'v...

Re: Thai TV & Flash Sales
With 4 TV's in different rooms, I don't have this problem. The only rule is the TV in the living room is English at all times. What they watch on other TV's is irrelevant.

Re: Buying and storing meat
As long as the meat has been stored properly and thawed slowly in the refrigerator, it can be refrozen safely multiple times. If done correctly, refreezing meat does not pose any health risks. Fresh meat spoils quickly, and freezing it is a common preservation method. https://www.healthline.com/nut...

Re: Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
Although google agrees with you it's obviously no enforced. My daughter's kids have Thai passports. Only my daughter was present (the father vanished some time ago)

Re: Thai passport renewal ... 10 years?
I'd second that. Took my daughter to renew her Thai passport a few months ago. I left her at the office and wandered off for a coffee. She arrived before I'd had a chance to drink the coffee. All done. Super efficient.

Re: Companion dogs
We have 5 dogs. Husky, German Shepherd, Labrador, mini-poodle and a Chihuahua. Guess which one is the most aggressive. The Chihuahua! It has no fear of the other dogs regardless of their size. The softest and most docile one is the Husky. Easy to look after apart from it's constant hair shedding, wh...

Re: A bit of nostalgia (Motor Show 1968)
Just taken from the commentary. "3 litres and a near £2,000 price tag".
Pointing out just how expensive the motor was implying that it's out of the range for most people.
Just contrasting how values in the day seem so cheap today.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
I read this recently: Electric cars release MORE toxic emissions than gas-powered vehicles and are worse for the environment, resurfaced study warns EVs weigh 30 percent more than gas cars, causing tires to wear out faster The tire tread releases toxic particles 400 times greater than exhaust emissi...

Absolutely agreed. 'On' will make the pizza anyway you want no matter how bizarre. Never been disappointed.

Re: Canned rabbit, once a dinnertime delicacy
My dad kept chickens and rabbits so we often had a 'rabbit dinner'. I used to get the skins which I could take down the local 'rag and bone' depot for cash. When I lived in Singapore many moons ago, rabbit was quite common at the meat markets. We were always advised that when buying a rabbit to make...

Re: Long weekend escape Thailand getaway ideas
I've been to Langkawi a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed the visits. The first time I went, my mother was in her late 80's and fully enjoyed the 10 day visit. Plenty to do and being a 'duty free' island, prices are somewhat cheaper than on the mainland. A decent video of the place. https://www...

Re: Car auctions
I believe repossessed cars are often claimed by the manufacturer for sale in their 'used car' dept. Certainly with Toyota, reclaimed cars are re-sold on 'Toyota Sure'. My daughter has just bought an 18 month old car (reclaimed) from Toyota Sure. I believe Honda and Mitsubishi have similar companies ...
