I agree with Johnnyk on the regional accents. My partner pronounces Hua Hin as it is spelt in English so I tend to do the same, but then she is from an area where Thai is not the first language; she is from North of Nong Ki and speaks a dialect closer to Khmer.

Bradders, for your information, a transfer from a UK bank to a Thai bank in Hua Hin costs about 20 pounds and takes three to five days. To make this happen easily you just need an IBAN number (International Bank Account Number) and a SWIFT code that identifies the bank. I’ve never had any problems...
