Re: UK passport renewal has not arrived
One of the reasons I got out of the Civil Service. Job numbers were being cut beyond what was practical. Interestingly, my old post had to be filled a couple of months after they released me. Somebody actually realised that I had been doing a job after all

When I got my laptop back after repair recently, I couldn't get anything 'video' to work. Java script wasn't turned on.

Re: Chumphon community coral reef cleaning project
The govt funded DMCR pays for all of the accommodation, food, drink, and dive boat That surprised me - I thought you guys were funding it all yourselves. Still very commendable that you're giving up your time though. Re-assuring that the government has recognised the problem. However, prevention wo...

Re: World Cup 2014
Well, England went into the game against the mighty Honduras with their probable starting 11 to play Italy. Surely this would be a walkover for a team ranked amongst the world's 10 best. It would definitely be worth losing a little beauty sleep to see the lads go into the World cup finals with a mig...

Re: Christian Church Services
When I was up Soi 94 a few weeks back, I noticed a church had popped up in the shop houses between Suey Vista and Oy Restaurant. No idea if its Christian though (I just assumed it was).

Well to be level against the All Blacks with 12 minutes to go, and fielding such a weakened side, it doesn't bode well for the remaining games for New Zealand.

Re: Is there a tourist slump in Hua Hin/Thailand?
I was looking yesterday to find a hotel for some friends who will be coming to Hua Hin over the Christmas period. I looked at 8 hotels, and 2 were already fully booked.
OK, a busy time of the year, but people are still coming.
