Re: Global Warming 2
Volcanoes when they blow spew out their materials also blow out tons of CO2 as well but because it is nature doing that, it does not count, so the small polluting countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, get their citizens to pay the CARBON TAX, while the real polluting countries like, India, ...

Re: Govt to ban Songkran water splashing, water guns, alcohol, skimpy clothing - the Songkran 2018 thread
Yes another year and another bunch of rules, Hope all you expats have a good time and stock up on your beverages when the stores allow. Glad I am not there this year as I still have fond memories of my last soaking. Hope the government and police do not get any more power in Thailand. Tourists are h...

Re: Animal-rights groups urge Hua Hin expats to save dogs from possible slaughter
Animal rights people will not be able to save themselves if they are bitten by a rabid dog. Politicians, Police and Military are in the same boat, but just keep on saving these poor soi dogs that have been a problem for years. Gosh, do not even suggest that it is a good time to lessen their populati...

Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand
I hope I arrive in Swampy when the nice airlines all arrive, I am also glad that I will be picked up by my Thai family so I do not need a taxi to get me to my place of rest. I have only seen the restaurant area when I flew domestically from Swampy and thankfully it was mostly Thais and Europeans and...

Re: Kite Surfer Dies Off Hua Hin Beach
As a non Kite Surfer who enjoys walking the Hua Hin Beach area I would suggest that the surfers move further south. The swimmers have no chance to avoid the surfers if they speed into the swimming areas, and all parties realise this. Good luck to all that use and enjoy this area, and RIP to the surf...

Re: Hua Hin Airport to Operate International Flights by End 2017
If there is no ILS system in Hua Hin, in my opinion, there will not ever be any jets fly commercially into the airport. It is a shame that even Air Asia or Bangkok Air will not fly into Hua Hin with their jets because they need the means to fly into the airport in good weather and bad. An Instrument...

Re: Thailand Tourist Friendly?
Yes Thailand is still Tourist friendly, but certainly not expat friendly. My friend who lives in Hua Hin with his wife, says he only goes there for 5+ months because he hates Winter and his wife likes to see her home country and parents and family each Winter. The prices slowly go up and his expat f...

Re: Newest Camper Van
[/img]Camper Pictures 5 years old with may issues, and a gas guzzler 10 cylinders engine, plus power generator that did not charge batteries very well. It had old batteries that were supposed to be replace but were not. It was not warm as the furnace kept going out in the night, so I got the van an...

Re: Newest Camper Van
I have camped in my van for about 2 weeks this year, I have containers in front of the bed and the 3 passenger seat. They contain a 1 burner stove, pots and pans, a few dishes as well as I use paper plates. The other container contains some food cans and crackers and spices, peanut butter, and some...
