Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

To me that infers that when you go through immigration at Bangkok, it must all be linked with the local system? We are talking Thai IT, and there is always a SOMETIMES clause in there somewhere. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Just read the last few posts, and it all makes sense when you ...

Re: Flights to/from Thailand status, news, and updates

I walked through Don Mueang late Sunday evening and thought how badly designed the airport was. Huge corridors being lit/air conditioned. Then at the end of the corridors vast expanses of nothingness, again being lit/air conditioned. There really was a lot of wasted space/electricity. Then the actua...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

The key is probably in the words, 'isolated' and 'scattered', which most likely means Cha-Am and Khao Tao.

Re: Old Photos of Hua Hin 1960s

I've just seen this on Facebook. I've never seen such a comparison before, and thought I'd share it. I've seen many similar of Pattaya, but this is the first I've seen of Hua Hin. Found on the Thailand Travel page.

Re: Canon Camera Repair

Yes, I've tried that. It helps a little, but still not really a solution for me.

Re: Canon Camera Repair

Yes, I know phone cameras are very good, but I hate using them. Especially in sunlight, I have to point, click and hope for the best - I can't see what I'm taking. Most of my Khao Tao photos are taken that way, but the carbunkle is an easy target  . My eyesight is generally brilliant since my...

Re: Canon Camera Repair

I've decided to buy a new one. Once it arrives, I'll probably send the other camera off to see if it is worth repairing. If it is, then I'll have a spare. Unfortunately, I can't afford to be without a camera for a couple of weeks. I tried to process the latest photos last night, and every image was ...

Re: Best long-term "unlimited" internet SIM deals

Have you actually been in to AIS and asked them? The deal I got last year was not advertised anywhere - just a renewal of an extinct package.

I suppose the overseas items, which are usually cheaper, will no longer be so attractive once the tax is applied.

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well, it seems Billy has been a naughty boy again. I hope this doesn't effect his "swansong" move to France. The report doesn't say he'd been drinking (and he has said he no longer drank alcohol), but...... Again? Does he have a history of acting like a prat? What was he doing in a bar at...
