Re: Are farangs allowed to vote in Thailand?

Hi Dundrillin

I've just done exactly what you have suggested, and wow, yes, what a surprise!

It seems if you are from any of about 96 Countries and Resident int eh UK, you are permitted to register and vote.

That's one more piece to the puzzle!

Re: drving on the left

I thought it was because in the days of getting around by horse riders could defend themselves better by riding on the left which left the sword arm (right) free to fight with. Of course Napolean, being French, decided that they knew best and changed the system. On the other hand this could be comp...

Re: New Development Chaumhaus in Cha Am

I have a place in Cha Am. I know of Chaumhaus and remember that I visited it some years ago (i'm guessing around 6 years). No lasting memories to speak of. Chaumhaus is located off of the Hospital Road. That road is developing well. Good restaurants, better facilities than before. Certainly a case (...

Re: The bikers thread

No chance for me, as I'm in Bangkok and won't be heading to Cha Am for a few weeks. Still owe you guys a pikkie of my new Hyperstrada, will try to post some time soon. Had the 1,000km first service done yesterday at Ducati Thonglor, am told that is the end of my 'run in' period. No more 6,000 rpm li...

Re: Chevrolet Hua Hin

Normally all the required check points for each service interval are indicated in the Service Manual

Check there, maybe they even have to 'tick' each item when to confirm that they have done them.

Re: The bikers thread

Hi Hilux

The bike is truly great, but with holiday schedules etc, not so much time to ride. Have done nearly 500kms now. That 6k rpm limit during 'run in' i a real bummer!

Will try to post a pikkie in a day or 2 (too knackered and hung over to try now!)

Happy New Year to you All

Re: The bikers thread

Thanks for the feedback guys. Kang Krechan Resovoir is somewhere that I've wanted to visit, but have not yet had the chance.

For sure will post a little pikkie as soon as I can (still counting days at present).

Anyway, I hope that we can catch up sometime soon

Thanks all

Re: The bikers thread

Hi there Ginjaninja I'll keep my eyes on this forum to see what pops up. I've been off the road for many years, and have finally gotten round to getting back on 2 wheels again (a bit of a mid-life crisis me thinks). I'm picking up my beautiful new Hyperstrada 821 on 27th December. Trying to remain c...

Re: The bikers thread

I live mostly in Bangkok, but am in Cha Am many weekends (although not so many recently). Collecting new bike on 27th, and plan to be in Cha Am on 28th or 29th. If you are having a New Year run, would love to join you guys for a run. If there are any plans, please let me know and I will try to join

Re: Voranai another good article

I had the pleasure to meet Khun Voranai 2 weeks ago. He was guest speaker at a private function I went to. He spoke for about hour (talking about the history of Thailand, that leads us to today's conflicts, very interesting and very logical), and then joined us for dinner, where we had a long time t...

Re: UK Passport Renewal

Can anyone confirm that its OK to sen a passport copy when renewing a Child's passport? Website says just send photocopy, but Form C2 and the accompanying guidance Notes both tell you to send original. In addition, it seems to OK to have a non-UK Citizen Countersign the Photograph, am I correct? Tha...

Van and Driver

Hi All Could someone pleas recommend a Van and Driver (preferably with some basic English). I'm looking for something reasonably decent to collect 9 people (1 in a Wheelchair) from HH and ferry to Cha Am, and then return about 6 hours later. I'm hoping someone could let me have some contact details....
