Re: Which Mobile Phone?
My latest Samsung doesn't have a headphone jack but usb-c adaptors are very cheap.thecolonel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 5:44 pm X6 doesn't have a headphone jack
Wouldn't bother many but would me, I'd get the X5 on Laz personally

Re: Looking For New Tablet
^Yes, I've just had a look and I found four of those usb-c cables without leaving my seat!
As for chargers, I have one that's at least 15 years old and they long outlive the devices they came with.

Re: Looking For New Tablet
I got one of those cables with my last Samsung phone. It's usb-c male at both ends and they give it to you because you can use it to data transfer everything from an old phone. You can basically clone the phone, settings, apps, photos etc in about ten minutes. I'm assuming it's the same with their t...

Re: News of the Weird - this just in!
Well, honestly, I can't see why it would only affect one particular group. Would the female or male sex workers not be affected? But as your post is only a screenshot, it's not possible to tell what the whole story is. I don't know if anything has changed but when I lived in Jakarta in the 90's, pr...

^What worries me about these sort of cases in Asia is that I'm left with a suspicion that this sort of thing goes on all the time and this one only came to light because something went wrong.

Re: Tonnes of carcinogenic cadmium in Samut Sakhon go missing
I suppose when they were transporting it, it was just truck loads of soil so no one cared. I think the problem is the carcinogenic pollution caused by smelting it in an unauthorised fashion. Someone has dug up 10,000 tons of buried mine tailings, moved it across the country and churned out clouds of...

Re: Tonnes of carcinogenic cadmium in Samut Sakhon go missing
It seems that there is a suspicion that it was illegally smelted, the company wasn't licensed to do that:

^I've started going on two day city trips from Luxembourg and it's fun. Sometimes I just choose places that are easy, I went to Lisbon last year for no other reason than because the flight times suited my schedule and I had a great time. For two days I can entertain myself by just walking around and...

Re: Phone Stalls, Top Floor Market Village
I think they largely survive catering to the non-technically minded customers who need to talk to someone.
If my partner needed a charging cable, she wouldn't have a clue about connector standards so would head for one of those stalls with the phone.
My stepson would know and order off Lazada.
