I'm considering taking a trip down to Koh Tao when relations visit us next in February. Would appreciate any info on travel time to Chumphon (by car), parking in Chumphon (will leave car there for about 3 days) recommended hotels.

Has anyone had trouble using Skype on TOT. When I first started using Skype all my calls went through ok, now whenever I make a Skype call my internet connection drops out. Seems as though TOT monitor for Skype and this is deliberate

I'm just back from a couple of days in Bangkok where tourists have almost disappeared. Hotels are laying off staff and closing resturants due to the low occupancy rates. We stayed in the Sheraton Grande, occupancy about 25%. Jazz Band playing in the bar to 5 people!! Same applies to the other touris...
