I don't know why you would be told that.
It's usual in Thailand for bikes to be supplied with next to empty tanks.

To buy alcohol you have to be 18. Not sure on the intricate laws on consumption of alcohol that's been purchased on ones behalf by a family member/friend/client/random stranger.STEVIEBALE wrote:hi, not sure if posted in the right place....what is the legal age for drinking alcohol in thailand?

Re: Wii ModChip
No worries. I did a bit more research and it seems you don't even need to mod them to play backups these days. I'll give the loader a try and see how that goes first.

Wii ModChip
Hi
I am aware it is possible to buy Pre-Chipped Wii Consoles at Panthip Plazza, which will enable you to play all the lovely cut price games available.
Does anybody know if it's possible in Hua Hin, or Bangkok, to get an existing Wii console chipped? And if so, at what cost?
Thanks

House/Room wanted for Jan & Feb
Hi guys, our landlod-to-be (well, now possibly not!) has kindly double booked our house and, this being Thailand, with the present occupiers being on short term let in high season (and thus paying top baht) we are left without a place to stay until March. So we're now looking for either a room or a ...

Well I've occasionally gone to the Hilton and usually have had a reasonable time. It's not somewhere I would spend a lot of my time but it's ok for the occasional night out. Yea it's expensive but just occasionally you get in the 'money is no object' mindset and fancy a night of frivolence. I know ...

Hualamphong (spelling corrections welcome!) is the main one. Pronounce it Who Are Lump Pong and you should be fine. But before I could pronounce it I always asketd for the Train Station (Sa Tar Knee Lod Fai) and they always took me there. As a farrang looking for a train station, they know which one...

Where are you looking? When I've looked in HomePro and Market Village they've been about the same price, and usually slightly higher, than those in the UK.JW wrote:TVs are cheap here all year round!

Third that. Been using Open Office for years with XP and can't really remember any difference from MS Office I had on Win ME for years before that. It's true; there is very little difference between Open Office and the version of MS Office that was shipping at the same time as ME (that would have b...
