You will find a hotel just like Big Boy said, just mind the due to rate yielding (which most hotels practice), the rate will go up in conjunction with the occupancy.

It's a national and the last time I was on Samui on Visakha Bucha they were the same strict as Hua Hin.

NEWSFLASH - just got the word that this Wednesday, October 24th 2018 will be a dry day (no alcohol) due to the end of Buddhist Lent - Ook Pan Sa.

Agoda does not allow the hotel to offer cheaper prices by direct booking. That is not correct, all major hotel chains offer best price guarantee and the TPI rates are structured in a way that the lowest direct booking rate cannot be undercut. Most of the times you will get a better rate if you book directly with the hotel. Hotels have to pay between 15-30% commission depending on listing, inventory, positioning etc. so there is room to negotiate.
