Re: Water tanks: concrete underground or plastic?
So the general consensus is to go for the big round plastic one and bury it as opposed to a concrete constructed one. Thanks for the tips.

Re: Water tanks: concrete underground or plastic?
Any idea on cost comparison with the two?
If blue plastic they'd definitely need to be buried.

Re: AIS/12Call mobile services
Any idea how much the AIS/One-2-Call 3G data services are? Can you simply add the service to an existing number?
That said I've managed to get by on EDGE/GPRS so far - its fine if you don't want to download anything big or stream video.

The course itself may lay on a few minivans though - pickup/drop off is usually Market Village so I would enquire there first.

Water tanks: concrete underground or plastic?
Looking at water tanks and need to decide on an underground concrete one or burying a couple of those big plastic ones. Have heard good and bad about both so would appreciate and advice on them, including sizes, cost comparison and pros and cons of each.
Cheers!

Re: The Digital Surgery
Does sound like a strange one hhf, have you tried a smaller USB stick in the XP machine to test the results. I recall your machine being rather old also so it probably only has USB 1 ports, you may get errors transferring large chunks of data using USB 1 instead of the faster, newer USB 2. Also try ...

Re: Camera thread
Some of the bigger DSLR lenses have image stabilisation - VR or vibration resistance they call it. But I've never really noticed the difference, a steady hand or tripod for long range stuff always does the trick, you could also switch the ISO to manual and notch it up a bit to get faster shutter spe...

Re: Camera thread
About time we had a dedicated snappers thread, good call RC! I currently shoot with a Nikon D70s which I was thinking of upgrading to the D300s or the new D7000. Have had Nikons for ages and cant fault them so will stick with what I know. The problem is that in Thailand cameras are a good 25-30% mor...

IE is an integral part of Windows, so when it scans the OS it will include IE.Khundon1975 wrote:The question is, why are they there if I don't use IE?
