Re: The Rugby Thread

Rhetorical? You don't say Dtaai Maai? But my comments on Walsh are not really from a Welsh rugby fan's perspective - well, maybe they are a bit - but as you say, there's no need for me to justify the victory as it was the most complete Wales performance in my adult lifetime. I'm very comfo...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well yes - lots of examples of incorrect binding (many of which seemed to be called by touch judge, not Walsh), hooker popping up under pressure, delaying the put in, not scrummaging straight etc. But more importantly, you clearly don't agree and you think there were obvious examples of incorrect de...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Never mind that, what about SpitGate? Watch as Tom Croft appears to spit at Halfpenny in one of the rucks: http://prem0.hiboox.com/images/1113/diapof2b5828c8a6793cf547f693c5b0bcafa.gif Seriously, even though Walsh is a bit of a nob, I've watched the game numerous times and I can't see one of the dec...

Re: Free Wi-fi in Hua Hin

Thank you all for your replies - seems that I won't have a problem and as I'll be on holiday I don't want to spend too much time working!

Free Wi-fi in Hua Hin

Is there anywhere in Hua Hin where I can pop along with my laptop and get free wi-fi whilst having a drink? I'm hoping that somewhere like the Hilton should have that facility but as it's Thailand who knows!?

Re: Do not eat street food during the hot season!

Although eating out anywhere in Thailand is a bit like playing roulette, if food has been cooked to the required temperature you should be fine. The real problem in Thailand is that toilet hygiene is non-existent. So, you go for a meal in a nice looking restaurant and you can't see the kitchen. The ...

Re: BBC Sports Person of the Year

Wiggins and Cavendish will be cycling past my house on Friday in the Tour of Britain (along with Basso, Sanchez and other stars), so unless Murray comes and plays tennis in my back garden then my vote goes to Wiggins.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] The Wado Karate Federation

If you are simply looking for somewhere to train, you are more than welcome to pop along when on holiday. You obviously acknowledge that there will be differences between Wado and Shotokan, and you won't walk out of the dojo a Wado expert. I used to be in a similar situation when on holiday, and us...

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] The Wado Karate Federation

Interesting! I think I have met your dad some time....! Not sure when we'll be back in HH but how would you be about tourists and short term visitors training with you whilst in Hua Hin? We are 2 shotokan (KUGB) 1st kyu & 1 1st Dan karateka. In the meantime, good luck. P.S. Hi John......my mista...

Re: Paleo Beach Shack - no more?

Shame about the beach bar going as I had some good memories there. As others have stated, it was the only real place on the beach where you could stop for a drink in the shade and you could also let your kids run off into the sea and still keep an eye on them. I did have one sinister experience ther...

Re: would you frequent a great steakhouse(meat from aussie).

He was surprised at how tender it was and how good it tasted, compared to English or Scottish beef such as Welsh Black or Aberdeen Angus. So, Aberdeen Angus is Scottish beef but Welsh Black is English beef? I must check my post code. I'm sure those are Welsh Black cattle in the fields near my house...

Global rise in sea levels & Hua Hin

I have absolutely no idea how scientific or accurate this is but it is a bit of fun anyway! See how rising sea levels will affect your property in Hua Hin here: http://flood.firetree.net/ You can set the rise in sea levels to different heights to see at what point your property will become inundated...

Re: Rugby - 2012 6 Nations Championship

I think I'd be equally inclined to ask whose eye that wandering finger was headed for. Not really condoning biting people's fingers or any other part of the anatomy, but it's a sad day when forwards have to go whingeing to the ref about everything that happens under cover of darkness. Don't agree w...
