Re: Cheap golf courses

The bushwackers golf sounds good fun. Will be there in August with six of us three of whom are lady golfers. Having been involved in various social golf clubs they have generally been men only arrangements. Are ladies able to play or would we have to send them shopping. The latter is high risk to th...

Local Driver

Six of us are coming to Hua Hin in August. We wish to do a bit of touring but primarily we will be there to play golf. We will need to hire a minivan with driver to get us around. Can anyone recomend a reliable competitively priced driver or company.

Thanks all

Re: Local markets

Thanks all. You have given me a number of leads to follow through. It is primarily fresh food I am looking for although I must admit will be eating out a fair bit given the myriad of good food places in Hua Hin - from street food right up to restaurants.

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Most are competitive golfers but not all. We were thinking of mainly playing 3 or 4 social rounds each week -...

Re: Local markets

We also went to Cicada markets. The local market I was refering to was on the opposite side of the road and about 1/2 kilometer closer to central Hua Hin. was mainly fresh produce etc with only small element of other goods such as clothes.

Local markets

Last year we stayed between HH and Khao Takiab. One afternoon a local market sprang up in what looked like school grounds. We are coming back this year for one month staying in same area. Can anyone tell me which day of the week these markets operate - great fresh produce. Also are there similar mar...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Thanks Guru. Long time since I won any golf comp even by a shot let alone by a street! Not sure why the Aus handicaps should be so generous - based on best ten of last 20 rounds - must be something to do with slope rating. Anyway I will bring my handicap with me and see what the organisers have to say

Does anyone know whether Australian handicaps can be used in the sunday Comps as the slope handicap system is not going to be introduced in Australia until 2012

Re: best way from hua hin to cha am

Looks like sangthaew is not an option. If we go by train I get the impression that the train station is some way from the beach road. Is this correct. Presume Tuk Tuks would be around
