Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

Thanks for the above. Went on the site and registered/submitted and received back a message titled …..Form for alien to notify of staying longer than 90 days received along with an attached pdf.
Is that it or do I get another response later.
I have printed out the pdf just in case.

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

I will give it a try. Which browser works best. I know that on the past some browsers can play up with Thai official websites.

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

This will be my first 90 day report since getting this visa so I think I cannot do it online

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread

Currently which is the easier/quicker place to do a 90 day report, Bluport or at the immigration office and which is the best time to go. I live not far from the immigration office so can be there first thing if it helps. Which day is better too as I can go any day next week. Lately the immigration ...

Re: The i-things - Apple devices and software thread

As a member of the older fraternity I have an iPhone, iPad and MacBook. Despite enjoying their reliability and general user friendliness I prefer Microsoft by a large margin for work applications leaving my interconnected gadgets for play.

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

I think that people are just airing concerns and hoping that when things become clearer we may, in the forum, have someone who knows and will give accurate answers in the same way that Buksi has been a go to for immigration info. One of the great things about this forum that in general views are exc...

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

At some point before I go to work mid January I will have to check with the bank to make sure money I send to support my wife and family will not get stuck in the system. Normally it goes to my account and I then have a record of funds coming in but if in any doubt I would have to send it direct to ...

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

In an earlier post the 180-day qualifier was mentioned. One wonders how the authorities will apply this aspect as it could be interpreted that until you have more than 180 days then no tax. The snowbirds should easily avoid becoming taxable and those of us working offshore or on ships can by careful...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19

As social media dinosaur I struggle with Facebook so apologies if this is a stupid question. What is the exact group I need to check for advice on when/if the free covid jabs are available as when I searched there seemed to be a few. When is the info on the jabs published? How many days before. I wa...

Re: Buying online from Lazada

I get a lot of things and generally have no issues. Prices are good but buyer beware if it is too good. Biggest problem lately is Kerry who can be unreliable whereas flash and Lex are better

Re: Watchmaker

I feel I have done Corum an injustice as, for the purists the following was gleaned in regard to the movement. The COSC certified calibre is a CO-986 that was developed for Corum by the movement design company La Joux-Perret. Base calibre 8601, 4Hz and some 40h power reserve. – Nothing really too ex...

Re: Watchmaker

I believe they are in Gaysorn but will confirm this after I have contacted them for a quote. As the watch is fully functioning and just needs a service they should be able to give me some idea of costs and how long it would take.

Re: Watchmaker

A few months on now so no harm in asking if there has been any feedback as I have a watch in need of a service. In this case it is a Corum Admirals Cup Challenge with a rattrapante complication. The base movement I believe is an ETA or Valjoux but would need someone who for a start knows what rattra...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

EV range claims made by manufacturers seem to be as reliable as their mpg claims for their ICEV’s. Pretty much all of the motoring press pour scorn on these figures. So MB have an EV that is supposed to give you 1k km at what price! Currently EV’s appear to be for the wealthy who have large enough h...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

It’s great to see the advances being made but I am skeptical about the range. I can fill my Terra up and drive all the way to Chiang Mai without having to fill up on a hot summers day driving conservatively. Have not heard of an EV that can realistically achieve over 600km. Happy to admit that an EV...
