Re: What's Up With The London bar?

The London bar always seemed to have ladies there, do they have some salaried staff and some freelancers?

Re: What's Up With The London bar?

It was busy enough in February, I did go in early doors several years ago and a Thai lady took advantage of my good nature, I bought her a couple of Vodka and oranges only she forgot to put any Vodka in the glass, Mai pen rai, lesson learnt.:)

Re: What's Up With The London bar?

In February when I was in town for the month London Bar was very busy most nights. I do not use the bar because it is very noisy and also very crowded. In February it was probably the most consistent bar in the number of customers it attracted. If the music has now changed then maybe customers are n...

Songkran

I have just watched some footage of Songkran celebrations on Soi Selakem and it looked very very very busy, far more busier than I have ever seen it in high season. Is this because it is mainly Thai people and they come into the Bintabaht block just once a year to celebrate Songkran? Also, I thought...

Smartphone screen replacement

I arrive in town next week and I was looking at getting a cracked screen replaced on my number 2 Smartphone. In the past I have noticed a lot of mobile phone outlets near to the railway, just down from the Night Market. Any rough idea of the cost in HH? if it is not cheaper than the UK, then I won't...

Re: Airbus A380 superjumbo saved from extinction by Emirates

In November I flew Thai Airways LHR-BKK and return, out with the A350 and back with the A380, as a passenger I preferred the A350, but I was in the zoo. :)

Re: Thailand floods of 2017

I think that I was rather fortunate, my Taxi passed through Phetchaburi about 6pm on Wednesday on my way to the airport. No water about at all at that time.

Re: El Toro Loco bar closed?

Just my 10p's worth. I think Toro bar was probably the best bar in the area up to around 2010. There was usually plenty of decent eye candy sat out front and the music was very pleasant to listen to, Eagles etc.
I guess it just lost its way, mai pen rai.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I only visit twice a year for a month at a time, but i find it very sad with the demolitions and beach chair/bed closures etc. I suppose the powers that be are trying to do a Pattaya by making the front a locals and tourist area with the bars being encouraged to operate the other side of Petchkasem....

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Moonsmile didn't have its own toilet but a couple of the eateries did have, where the waste went I dare to think. There are going to be a lot of disappointed Scandi couples come the high season, they idolised Moonsmile. Has anything been demolished on Naresdamri since Sangthai next to the fishing pi...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Which restaurants on Poonsuk have been demolished, those on the left after the mini night market? The food in Monnsmile and Platoo was always good. Any news about the shops and restaurants on Naresdamri from the fishing pier to the chinese temple, I heard they were scheduled for demolition. I know t...
