Re: Another death of a European on Koh Tao

Seen nothing in the major media. I learned about it from a Danish newspaper a couple of days ago. I filed a report, in Danish, in the Nordic section.. So why did you just not file your "report" in the section that all could see/understand? There are links to Danish and Thai newspaper repo...

No mention of Koh Tao in the Danish case, Gus. Two different incidents.

Re: Another death of a European on Koh Tao

MODS: There seems to be an increasing number of "unexplained" deaths among farang residents and tourists in Thailand. Would it be an idea to have a separate group to discuss this - could be named something neutral as "deaths by accident" - for reasons I should not need to explain...

Re: Another death of a European on Koh Tao

Another death, this time by a Dane, who reportedly fell off the balcony from the 18th floor. I don't know the circumstances around his "fall", but the situation sounds familiar. Perhaps katoys, perpahs others turned him over. http://www.manager.co.th/Crime/ViewNews.aspx?NewsID=957000015007...

Re: 200 Baht Admission to Sam Phan Nam Floating Market

So, once again we have established that the Thais have double standards and that they do discriminate against foreigners.

Thanks for the warning. I have friends coming from abroad soon, and this is certainly one of the places we won't visit.
Merry Christmas.

Re: Fire brigade response time ...or lack of it

Not so many years ago the Hua Hin Firebrigade garage consisted of 2 (two) motocys with sidecars, manned with 2 people each with their hand pump. Now they have vehicles, but apparently too slow to get them on the road.

Re: music instrument shop

Where are the musical instrument shops in Hau hin looking for a strong music sheet stand as a Christmas present. Tried the Yamaha store at Market Village but no joy. Sorry, Hua Hin is not full of musical instrument shops. But I know of a guitar shop on the Pala-U road, a few hundred yards up after ...

Re: Where do i find Kinder Surprise Eggs ?

I'm pretty sure I've found the eggs in Villa Market before. Could be wrong, though. This time of year it's Christmas, a lot of stores take shelf space away from their slower-selling products to give to Christmas goods. Maybe you'll have better luck in January (unless you're wanting them for a Chris...

In Thailand we only have this in a local shop, but you have to insert coin and twist it, then you will get an egg with something surprise in it. May be it's not what you are looking for.

The exact Kinder Surprise Eggs I've never seen in Hua Hin.

Re: Where do i find Kinder Surprise Eggs ?

Tried Villa Market and a few other places in Hua Hin, but couldn't find them. Had a look on the internet and ebay has sellers in BKK, but they want 850 baht for 6 eggs. That seems a bit high. Any ideas ? This comes as a surprise to many in Thailand: This is a foreign country and you are far away fr...
