Re: thai girlfriend back to uk

Well I could suggest going to T-UK, where you will read of successful 1st time visit visas being granted this year (sorry BB), but they're having a bit of a break at the mo after a few interesting threads and the forums shut down for a few weeks. Are you mainly based in LOS or UK? If the former, the...

Re: Hong Kong Bits & Pieces

I first visited HK in 1980. Been back on quite a few occassions. I always preferred to stay in Kowloon! Maybe because thats where I first stayed? Only stayed on the island once. With the tunnel, tube and ferry's, it doesn't matter too much now, does it? Anyone here remember the wonderful old colonia...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

holland- played 6, won 6, what more do you want?  :D Agree can't argue with that.......but. It just hasn't been that impressive and at times they have been tedious, as was much of the game against Uruguay. As has been much of the competition. Spain looked very good tonight, so where h...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

Strange old WC! On the whole it's been disappointing, as have Spain, yet tonight they beat the Germans who have been outstanding. Not sure how I feel about that as you want the Champions to have been the demonstrably best team throughout and neither the Spanish or Dutch have been. A case of function...

Re: Premier League 2010-2011

A little surprised by Chelsea's new signing? Was he bought in as a 'first-teamer', squad player or as a sign of the new austerity at the club? I do rate him. From the games I saw, he seemed Liverpools best last season, but thats not really saying much judged on their overall performance. Time will t...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

Germany look the tournament favourites to me. But how did they manage to lose to Serbia? That messed the form book up as beating Oz was as expected and we were crap, but the Argies? Three games with 4 goals in each is very impressive. So, if you're gonna beat them, don't concede an early goal and co...

Re: Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2010

Earth,

I think there may have been a misunderstanding?

Are you asking for details of venues in town that regularly have live Jazz on, or about a festival?

Re: Football World Cup 2010

Very enjoyable and bizarre game this evening between Uruguay and Ghana! :thumb: I really thought Ghana would be outclassed and would fade, but a last minute penalty in extra time could have taken them through - if they had scored! How a fit Michael Essian could have made a difference, as he is aweso...

Re: 2010 Footy World Cup - Prediction League

Ha! Time will tell Pete. :)

Just didn't fancy the current Brazilian team half as much as they fancied themselves!

Mind you, I thought the ref bottled it at the end and that Van Bommel was a very lucky man. :|

Re: Football World Cup 2010

I don't think anyone would dispute that Capello picked us up after the McLaren fiasco and we were good in qualifying. I think what needs to be found out is why everything went so badly wrong starting with the pre-tournament friendlies, squad selection, an obvious lack of team spirit, and confused se...

Re: tennis endurance test!!!

I'm wondering if the whole thing was a stunt? Two guys with no hope of reaching the quarter finals decide to make some history for themselves? I bet the officials are looking closely at the tapes to see if anything resembling 'one for you, one for me'. Pete  Another conspiracy theory...

Re: 1st Anniversary of his Passing Michael Jackson = King of

I think some of you guys are over-hyping Elvis though! 2-3 years max of recording great songs and that was it really. Without doubt a great influence. Right voice, right looks, rights songs, right time. After his National Service, the rest really was hype with an occasional reminder of what could ha...

Re: 2010 Footy World Cup - Prediction League

Well I missed half a round with router cabling problems and improved my position! Probably messed up by just completing the rest!

England 3-0 anyone? :thumb:
