Re: Proving Thai residence
I had a similar problem recently. I'm in the process of moving my pension funds into QROPS and one of the requirements was 3 evidences of address. I get a couple of bills to my address but they're in Thai. Also, a letter from immigration would also be in Thai. On pointing this out to the relevant a...

Re: Dog friendly hotel or guest house?
The IBIS hotel is dog friendly, they will accept dogs up to 10 kilos in the room. The reason I know this is that I stayed there and was disgusted to see dog ticks in our room all over the bed. Won't be staying there again but great for dog lovers. I was planning to stay there for the first few days...

Re: @letic Fitness center
Choice is a lovely word and I exercise my right to choose everyday. In terms of gyms there may not be a great choice in Hua Hin but @letic fills my needs and pocket comfortably.

Re: @letic Fitness center
Really like this gym. Both myself and my Thai girlfriend have joined. Better than most gyms I used when in Pattaya. I find them friendly and the equipment good. I like the bar area and usually avail of their smoothies after a work out. I will be honest and say I find it very cheap compared to some g...

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] The Palm Bistro & Wine Bar
Just went for the full English today with pot of tea and juice. Good value although my friend did comment that you don't serve jam or marmalade with the ample portion of toast. I don't eat toast much but my colleague did think it needed more than just butter.

After seeing Pacific Rim last week in original soundtrack I was hoping that the trend would continue. Appears from comments above it seems rather hit and miss, mostly miss.

Re: CTH - Premier League broadcaster
I have not phoned CTH yet, will get my girlfriend to do that, but was in 'Big Kiang' (soi 88) today and they told me they will be getting all their boxes/dishes etc at the end of the month. With the premiership starting in early August the idea that they will be offering the packages only from the e...

Tried the Sunday Roast last week, the lamb was lovely. My babe also had the lamb and she thoroughly enjoyed it although she couldn't finish it. I thought the Apple and Blackberry Crumble was one of the best I have tasted. Will be back for sure. Only 5 minutes from my house.

Re: Newbie in the zone
Thanks guys. I am living up Soi 88 and have already been for a drive to find a few good restaurants...... My babe wants to eat prawns on Cha Am beach but that may wait until the exodus of locals back to Bangkok. I think midweek is better for that trip. Have even been to that new shopping mall Venezi...

Newbie in the zone
Hello, I am new to this forum although not new to Thailand. I have spent 10 years in Pattaya but moved here on 01 July.. Joined as I wish to know more about Hua Hin although I like to get on my bike to find out what is going on. Obviously dining recommendations and good advice is what I am looking f...
