've always thought that this rule should be amended to allow
HHFarang, There are many who would agree with you on this point. (And I play with some of them.) Many play with this "invented rule". The problem is that the two club lengths where the ball is dropped is usually where they would like to have found the ball. This of course gives a significa...

2012 Golf Rules - Questions and Answers: NEW Rules for 2012
The Rules of golf, like the wider game itself, are constantly evolving. For the Rules of Golf 2012-15, a total of 101 proposed changes were considered. These ranged from the very minor - improved grammar or changes to cross-references - to some that would have resulted in fundamental changes to the ...

"I'd still prefer it to HH"
Hi Farang,
Interesting comment about HH. Could you give more of your thoughts. Understanding that you qualified it with
"to each his own strokes." Thanks

Re: Golf Rules - Questions and Answers
Good Answer hhfarang! As long as you leave your marker behind the ball, you can keep adjusting it until it is aligned the way you wish. Each time you release your hand from the ball, "the ball is in play." Regardless of your marker remaining behind the ball. SO if you kick the ball or move...

Re: The new Marrakesh condos.
Hi Exbrit, We stayed at the Marrakesh for two weeks in September. Most of the construction was complete however there was a lot of "upgrading" taking place and the hotel was under full construction. I also toured the facility looking at several 1 and 2 bedroom condos. The 1 BR is way two s...

Re: Tips for a novice golfer...?
HAVE FUN! If you are facing a difficult hole...Visualize a really greta swing and where you want your ball to land. Really focus on not just the direction, but also the ball flight, and what blade of grass you would like to hit when your ball lands. Now, get in your cart, ride to that spot, and plac...

In doing so, I am finding that the latest posting is not found when I open a thread, but found on the last page. In an effort to find the latest info available, would it n...

Cambodia is OK safety wise, but there are areas to avoid. Malaysia is overall very safe, but owning property is an issue there. Good Luck.

Re: Golf Rules - Questions and Answers
Hi Lomuamart, No penalty as long as you replace the ball. Moving the ball or the marker in the process of replacing either is no penalty. Replace what moved, from where it moved and play on. Now if you are walking to your ball and drop your marker or your putter, and it hits your ball and moves it, ...
