I don't think 'compulsory' is the word, theres no law against it as far as I'm aware. However it is a definate no-no in Thailand to be semi-naked in public. It has only recently become accepted on the beach. I think ignorance and lack of respect applies to tourists who would dress like this in a ban...

There are seven world class golf courses in the vicinity of Hua Hin (all within half an hours drive). Not being a golfer myself I cant really recommend one, these two sites have a bit more info though: http://www.holidaygolfthailand.com http://www.tee-2green.com You can go for horse rides along Hua ...

It was still open at 05.00 saturday night so I guess its reputation as a 'late night spot' is justified. No girls yet though.

Never personally stayed there but from what I hear its not bad. Located about half a km south of town in Hua Hin Grand Plaza, they have a good market there in the evenings and on weekends. Their website is here:

New Venue

A new late night drinking spot will be opening next week down Poolsuk Road (next to the Sand Inn Hotel). I'll post more details when I have them but hopefully it will be somewhere you can go for a late game of pool, drink, or whatever else as there's a lounge and pool room upstairs.

Hi, you could try the City Beach Hotel, thats around your budget. Also centrally located and 'guest friendly'. There is plenty to see and do around here, Pala-U waterfall, Khao takiab (monkey mountain). Southern beaches of Suan son and Khao tao. Sam roi Yod National Park further south. Hua Hin also ...

You might be better looking in Bangkok for something like that as the dealerships in Hua Hin are a little limited in choice.

Police checking bike licenses

A word of warning; the police in Hua Hin are now checking for motorcycle licenses. Last checkpoint was down the Sofitel road. Another sensible plan by the authorities, fine tourists for not having a Thai bike license (which you can't get without a Non-B visa anyway). Apparently an International lice...

Easy Rider

A quick bar recommendation Easy Rider about a kilometer past Paradise on the righthand side. Good music and big beers, often open late.

Hi braut, welcome to the board 8) Hua Hin is a little different to Pattaya/Phuket/Samui as its more of a regular town thats been turned into a tourist resort (rather than the other way round). It is very seasonal with regards to tourists and gets quiet from end of april to october. The town has abou...
