Grew up in Hollywood in the 'kinda' good days and honestly feel safer in Bangkok and, certainly, HH than here now. Of course, having at least a working knowledge of the language and a respect for where you're travelling never hurts.

Yup. That's the one BB. Left HH a day or two before that on my first trip. Had the pleasure of seeing that very storm in BKK. At one point was speaking to my wife in L.A. and had to cut it off because the noise of the rain hitting the ground was too loud to talk over!

And thank all the gods...........September will bring me back to HH.

Have seen all of those. Many good ones. If you see the Rain Hua Hin....I had nothing to do with it, but, had just left HH for the first time and had th pleasure of experiencing that storm in BKK. And guess what........after all of my bitching about missing my October trip last year.......... Looking...
