Re: Photo trip report: A month in Myanmar

Great pics and a nice travelogue. My last trip was 40 years ago and I loved Pagan and the people were great.
Personally would love to see the Buddhist site in Rakhine state before the Rohingas destroy the "heathen" images.

Bloody climate change!!!! Earth's magnetic field, which protects the planet from huge blasts of deadly solar radiation, has been weakening over the past six months, according to data collected by a European Space Agency (ESA) satellite array called Swarm. Yes if you read between the lines it is yet another franchise, probably being squeezed to the limit financially and in premises without proper amenities!

Latest out of the US. Louisiana state Rep. Lenar Whitney (R) is accusing liberals, such as former Vice President Al Gore, of advancing "the greatest deception in the history of mankind" -- man-made climate change -- in a scheme to empower the executive branch and increase taxes. “A specter...

Nowadays in Oz some courtroom sketches are pixellated as are the arrested suspects. The age of PC is well and truly on us and who gives a damn about the victims??
No doubt in the future police will be looking for "someone"

Re: Experts' anger over 'invisible' rabies death toll.

And you are worried about rabies!!!! Species on Earth are going extinct at least 1,000 times faster than they would be without human influence, new research finds. But there's still time to save the world from this biodiversity disaster. Between 100 and 1,000 species per million go extinct every yea...
