Me knows, many beachgoers don't like the kitesurfers too much, but well they occupy a certain area and the rest is free of them. Over the years kitesurfing enjoyed quite a boom here - by now there are 11 or so schools. 6 belong to KBA Kiteboarding Asia, the remaining 5 are independent smaller school...

Last August Hua Hin was a golfer's paradise with the 800 baht flat rate.

Are there any special offers available this August/September?

As someone who strolls along the Tao Takiab past Suanson regularly I am surprised that some "kiters" spend so much time plying their skills in close proximity to swimmers! I gather BB chak waoing is a given right for Thai males in particular! Exactly, it's a showing off of the worst kind....

Are you sure it was the immigration police? The tourist have been raiding businesses for the last couple of weeks, especially those under farang management ............ Barry - was told it's the immigration guys. Regarding your info, are they causing legitimate problems, i.e. no good farang paperwo...

Heard that there was an immigration police raid on Feb. 11th at KBA, one of the kiting schools along the beach.

Been swimming through some ugly brownish foam these days along Hua Hin's beach - not that I would have seen a water treatment plant: Is there any? Isn't there a single one?

My wild guess is open pipelines get rid of some stuff not to far away from the beach.

This high season is very quiet in Hua Hin. Now at New Year with Thais arriving from Bangkok Hua Hin's quite full, but from next week onwards will be sleepy again ... Had dinner at the Sheraton Hua Hin yesterday, really really empty for the peak of the high season ... There are better choices at the ...
