Re: Fiancee Visa Company Recommendation?
I believe you have to get married within 6 months on an engagement VISA. If that is the case then it's probably not suitable for your situation, seeing as you've only known the girl for a few months.

Re: 3D (red/green) glasses
Yea they can be made from blank film and marker pens so I guess I'll be heading down the stationary shop.
I need them for a little project I'm working on.

Re: 3D (red/green) glasses
Just went round all the market stalls and couldn't find any; though now I come to think of it I do recall seeing some previously. Does anybody have any other ideas? I suppose I could just stain an ordinary pair of glasses. Don't know what I'd use for staining though; printer ink, perhaps? Maybe I sh...

3D (red/green) glasses
Does anybody know where I can get a pair of old school red/green 3d glasses?
I saw they had them on the back of a cereal packet (coco crunch or something similar?) a few weeks back but I think that particular promotion has finished now.

Re: ice cream
Yes ice cream on bread/toast always baffels me somewhat.
I love the deep fried ice cream though.

There's almost hundreds, and they change hands fairly frequently! When did you go? What features did the bar have? Outside seating? Pool table? Do you know if the served food? etc..

Re: Converting video file formats
VLC Media Player has built in support for file conversion.
As does mPlayer, but that's command line only so you'd need to find a separate gui.

Re: Keeping Yourself Safe In Thailand
Don't eat som tam. :o why ever not?!! Don't wear a red shirt. I have 2 red shirts in my collection and wear them from time to time, never had a problem! It might not be wise to wear them around election times, but I really don't think you generally have anything to worry about! Don't say anything n...

Re: Thai girls away from home still keep the village customs

Re: Things that really shocked you about Thailand
Lola no the subject wasn't terribly specific but I was foolish enough to presume people might have also read the actual content of the post too :) Steve, that's pretty interesting. It wouldn't surprise me that England or France didn't have the biggest population at the time, but I wouldn't have imag...

Re: Things that really shocked you about Thailand
I don't really take it that seriously, I just consider it a bit of a shame. A thread created in the hope of gleaning some interesting (even if totally useless) insights into the history and culture of the place, demoted to yet another thread for expats to moan about things they don't like about the ...
