Re: What exactly is the motorcycle Helmet Law in Thailand
Helmet law's are like any other laws here. Applies to us as not being Thai. Spitting on sidewalk or littering on the street. If you have an issue with us not being treated as the Thai's are, then go back to your home country. Same the world everywhere. You are a guest. I have been here two years and...

Re: Immigration and money in the bank
I have a non-imm multi entry O-A. I was extended to 6 Feb 2013 because of travel during my initial year. I entered the country on 5 Sep 2011 and traveled twice and was extended up to 6 Feb 2013. Will that date change once I return on 13 Dec? Should I get the muli entry permit now or wait until I do ...

Re: Immigration and money in the bank
I was under the impression that once I left the country I would receive an addional 90 days on my original OA. Thus, when I return it would be 12 March not what my current extenstion is (6 Feb 2013). You indicated that my date would remain the same (6 Feb 2013). If that is the case how can one get 2...

Re: Poll: Cost of living in Thailand
I have been here for 8 months. If you want to go cheap then 50K is enough. If you want some good eats and some internal travel in thailand then I would say 100K is the standard.

For everyone's information here is the rundown of getting my brother a visa. He came in last Monday. We came to Hua Hin on Wed and went to the bank and deposited 800000 bhat, got a letter from bank and then to immigration. Paid 11,700 for a one year and 3 month O multi entry Non Imm visa. Would have...

Re: Visa for brother
How much and what proof of funds needs to be shown for the extension of a 30 day tourist visa. Understand the extension has to be with at least 21 days left on the 30 day tourist visa.

Visa for brother
My brother is about to turn 62 and will receive about $1500 monthly which I know is short of the 69000 baht required to get a oa over 50 visa. I will put the difference in the bank (I estimate 300,000 bht) but the bank says he needs to be here to open the account. Can he get a one year oa visa while...
