Re: Hotel in Huaymaiteng, Ratchaburi
Oh, and the spelling appears to be Huay Mai Teng (the spacing seems important).

Re: Hotel in Huaymaiteng, Ratchaburi
Maybe the golfing fraternity who frequent Dragon Hills could help. That is only 11 Km away.
Google maps suggests Lakescene Resort, which is actually very close.

Re: Hua Hin water shortage
Note: apart from being illegal, which in Thailand does not amount to much, a house pump should NEVER be connectd directly to the mains supply! Maybe my non-tech description, but our pump is between the tank and the house i.e. all water goes via the tank, except for one hose tap in the car port, whi...

Re: Hua Hin water shortage
Yes, we have a water pump by-pass function, but we rarely use it. Just use the pump and everything remains fairly constant.
[Edit] Our neighbours next door have a similar set-up, and constantly complain about lack of pressure because they by-pass their water pump.

Re: Hua Hin water shortage
I'm no expert, but as there are no other answers, I will give you my 'non-technical' version of what I think happens. Thank you for that deepee. I am very unknowledgeable in these things, and didn't realise some tanks are used purely for stand-alone storage. I just assumed all tanks were a mini-per...

Re: Hua Hin water shortage
I'm no expert, but as there are no other answers, I will give you my 'non-technical' version of what I think happens. The tank is placed between the water supply and the house. It fills naturally when the water supply is working until a stop valve mechanism decides it is full. Meanwhile, any water y...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19
HHH had run out of stock when my last booster was due. It is now a 'watch this space' for when stocks arrive again. I wasn't aware private hospitals were doing them. Do you have any more info please?

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?
I really don't understand why you guys are so surprised when the same thing happens dozens of times each hour outside Bangkok Hospital. Go to Bluport, and they employ staff encouraging drivers to jump the lights. TIT at its best. Just consider the money making opportunities being missed by not insta...

Re: FA Cup 2025
Here is one open protest letter issued yesterday. It does contain some interesting revenue facts: Dear Sirs, We were first made aware of the proposal to remove FA Cup replays on 18th April 2024 when the announcement was made by the Football Association. We had not been consulted about this either by...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand
Lomu is quite right. I often sit on my front porch in the evening watching what looks like really fierce electrical storms over Cha-Am. Rarely does anything actually get to Hua Hin.

I've driven under the flyover at the South of town a few times today. A large queue of water trucks waiting to fill up.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
I just find too much uncertainty with a sugar daddy at the helm. Maybe as a half decent Premier League side, it is easy to find a new sugar daddy as one leaves. When you are in the Championship or below, I doubt there is the same attraction.
